Please no hateful answers, I'm just interested in knowing a little about Islam. Not to convert but just simply to gain information. I think there are almost about as many Christians as there are Muslims. I'm curious as to what our Muslim brothers and sisters believe.

The Quran teaches that Jesus was not killed on the cross. Therefore, He could not have been raised from the dead. This belief in and of itself invalidates what Jesus said about Himself. It is what exposes Islam as a false religion.

Quran says:

3/54 They plotted and schemed, but so did GOD, and GOD is the best schemer.

3/55 Thus, GOD said, "O Jesus, I am terminating your life, raising you to Me, and ridding you of the disbelievers. I will exalt those who follow you above those who disbelieve, till the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is the ultimate destiny of all of you, then I will judge among you regarding your disputes.
----
4/157 And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him-they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him.

What is the fate of the Islamic believer? Bill Weise wrote a book called "23 Minutes in Hell". His testimony can be seen on www.SpiritLessons.com

i was born a catholic. but if i was born in a muslim world, im pretty sure i could of been a muslim. so what makes religion so real? its not? we made those up.

heres an example..

we did an experiment about a child(a boy). from the day he is born we thought him a made up religion. with a bible and story and everything. when he grows up i bet he would fight for that religion because thats what he's been thought and thats what he believes in. and he will past it down from generation to generation to generation. but all this time its nothing more thats been made up. same could be said about the religions of today.

back then it was so easy convincing people into believing things. people were being killed because they thought they were witches. if i had a magic hat and a bag of tricks during jesus's days. i'd be a known figure today, being worshiped.

heaven, whats in heaven?. is there sex in heaven? if a baby dies, does he or she grows up there? are there roaches and ants and mosquitos there. i analyze things as deep as i can. i ask these weird questions to myself.

does god really exist? i don't know, but im waiting. i think death is the only answer for that.

god can be a good thing but it can also be bad, look whats happening in the middle east because of religion. it bringing chaos to the people, but in some it brings out the best in peoples lives.

theres so much more i can say, but i have to go home now from work...

Christians believe in the savior and redeemer called; Jesus, One in the Trinity, Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. Christians believe in Jesus as the Savior and the only way for them. I also know that the Pope is revered as the successor of Peter a disciple of Jesus and the first Pope. Jesus is all forgiving in the Christian faith too. No violence, love of neighbor and worship God above all and do not judge are his rule.

I know Islam believes in Abraham and reject Jesus as the Christ but believe that he was a prophet.

I believe the Muslims & Christian love peace. The different is who created the religion, where it began and what they did. Both of them teach us the good morals!
The bible and al-quran have similar chapters too. The stories in the bible are same with al-quran, especially in the chapter of God creating the world, Adam & Eve, the flood... Only the names of the people in the stories are different.

There is insufficient space here to answer you. I have many Muslim friends and they all believe slightly different things. You might want to look it up on google as there are many different branches (Sunni, Shia, Wahabbi) of Islam. Try the links.

in alot of ways not alot. differences are Jesus ( pbuh ) viewed as God by Christians, as a prophet by Muslims. Islam teaches no one can pay for your sins but you, slightly different in Christian. We don't celebrate b-days we only celebrate God. Islam believes in Angels as do Christians. We believe Mary have a baby named Jesus ( pbuh ) as do Christians.
our religions have a great deal in common, perhaps if more knew this, we could end alot of violence and senseless bloodshed and love each other.

The most fundamental difference between Christianity and Islam is in the nature and role of Jesus (peace be upon him) and thereby the nature of God. Muslims hold Jesus to be a prophet of God, and an extremely important one at that. He was sent by Allah as the final prophet to the House of Israel, with very powerful miracles to prove his legitimacy beyond any doubt.

However, he is not considered the son of God. In fact, Muslims don’t ascribe any partners or sons to Allah. If a Muslim has any need or problem, he or she asks for help from God alone and directly and not through any intermediaries – this is the foundation of the Islamic faith.

The concept of trinity is completely foreign to Islam. It represents the fundamental difference between the two faiths. Allah says in Surah 4, verse 171:
*{O People of the Book [Christians and Jews]! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was [no more than] a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One Allah: Glory be to Him: [far exalted is He] above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.}*

Another point of difference between Islam and Christianity is in the concept of original sin. As Yusef Estes, an ordained Baptist minister and convert to Islam, explains:

“Muslims also believe that God is merciful and just to His creatures. So, they deny the concept of the ‘original sin' [all children are born into the sins of their parents] and the 'Sacrificial Lamb' concept, which requires the blood of Jesus (pbuh) to atone for the sins of the sinners.”

In fact, Muslim believe that Jesus did not die on the cross, rather Allah saved His beloved prophet from such a fate and cast his likeness on one of the Roman guards who sought to arrest him. Thus, the guard was crucified in place of Jesus (pbuh), who was subsequently taken up by Allah until his second coming near the end of the world.
We learn from the Qur’an that the similarities between Christianity and Islam are their mutual respect for knowledge and humility. Both also share their understanding that the life of this world is neither the purpose nor pinnacle of human existence, rather the next world, the life after death, is the final objective for which we were created.

Similar to Christians, Muslims also believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) as the "Christ"; "Messiah"; "Logos"; and "Miraculous Conception". Then his mother, Mary (May Allah be pleased with her), is held in the utmost respect and is considered one of the most pious and beloved women of Allah to walk the face of the earth.

Muslims believe as well in all of the previous Biblical prophets and the original scriptures that they brought. This is such as the original Torah, as it was reveled by Allah to Moses (pbuh), the Psalms as reveled to David (pbuh), and the Gospel as reveled to Jesus (pbuh). Muslims also believe that God is Merciful and Just to His creatures; He is both Transcendent and Imminent in His qualities and attributes.
