Tell Him about it, you can you know! He cares for what you care about, but first you have to have peace with Him.

There is going to be worse things in this world than what's being faced right now. Sorrows haven't come to be as bad as they will, that's promised. What God does is promise better things after this life. So trust Him, and He will bring you out of this world of sorrows.

Someone already kinda said what i'm about to say but from an obviously devout Christian point of view. I'm agnostic but to answer this I'm assuming that God does exist. Have you ever read A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess? It doesn't mention God in any way but you can still apply his ideas to this. He writes about a future where delinquent youths run riot. Scientists discover a way to make people good and at first you're like 'Great, about time.' But then you see that it's not nearly as good as you think. Making people have to be good gives them absolutely no choice and they're no better than robots then. Some say that choice is all that separates us from animals who are governed by instinct alone. Obviously, we can't prove this either way. Anyway, I'm going off track, my point is that God gave us choice ('made in His image') to make us human. That's like the essence of humanity. So He can't force us to be good because we've got to have the choice. He just wants to help us make the choice to be good, which is why we have the Bible - a set of guidelines which, if followed would let us live the best life we can. Sorrow is the product of bad choices. If we didnt' feel anything when we made bad choices, how would we know that they were bad? It's like pain; you feel it so that you know your body is being damaged so you can do something about it. In conclusion, God has to allow sorrow as it comes with choice. I don't suppose that it's what He wants. I guess some people might say that it's from the Garden of Eden thing. Eve took the fruit and brought sorrow into the world. I'm rambling now, sorry.

It is so easy to sit in your privileged home and ask why is so much sorrow allowed. Sorrow is not allowed, it is induced by one man/woman on another. GOD does not do this because HE does not exist. Humanity is responsible for its own sorrow. The Earth has the the capacity to sustain all of mankind and mankind have developed the technology to multiply this sustenance. Children do not have to die from hunger but they do because the developed world have over-consumed their own resources and is now consuming the developing worlds resources. You have chosen your leadership and they do not give a damn because their children have enough to eat. A father physically and mentally abuses his son not because GOD (who does not exist) makes him do this but rather because he is under the influence of either drugs, alcohol or stress which in return are all man made.

Personally I feel sorrow is essential for becoming a total human being. All those who have not experienced it are missing an important lesson in your life. Sorrow makes you realise the frailty of human life and keep your arrogance, vanity, pride in check. You will become more compassionate, sensitive person after experiencing it.

Sorrows are the results of our own actions and god never willed so. It is a retribution for all our transgressions in life.

I think God allows sorrow (if he does allow it..) to teach us that we are but humans and are not gods. He also wants us to realize that we are prone to helplessness at times without his help.

He often allow us to feel helpless, so as to draw us to himself and know him as the only one who is selfsufficient.

The FREE WILL of one to hurt another or many is what GOD gave all. The FREE WILL was intended to be used to seek HIM, live for HIM, thru HIM, and BY HIM. But mankind sought after false gods, and speed that up to present day....we have conflict on every corner of the globe, a modern Babylon...the tower is about to crumble. For the LORD does not ignore the cries of the innocent, but holds back His wrath, IN SO MUCH as TO, give the LOST the chance to make a decision for the GOSPEL OF SALVATION IN CHRIST YESHUA JESUS!

The time is near. You have to discern the signs of the times, and KNOW...the TIME IS VERY VERY VERY NEAR! Be patient, be strong and diligent, and STAND FIRM in the LORD until the END.......do not walk the path of the unrighteous, as they wholly delight in their present securities and creature comforts, it will NOT be this way much longer, as I said.....the LORD will cast confusion, and the tower of Babel is about to crumble!

Grace and strength in the Spirit of GOD to all who STAND until the end.

We create it, what has it got to do with God? He doesn't zap it around you know. "I know, I'll make this lot sad today". We are sorrowful because of other people's actions.
