Images of an ultimate source of evil abound in religions around the world, but there are few actual descriptions in scripture. If you happen to believe in Satan, Mastema, Iblis, Akuma, or any other supernatural embodiment of ultimate evil, how would you describe it?

Please indicate your religious affiliation. Thanks.

The most important aspect of being a Muslim is to believe in the ONENESS of god. In other words, God alone is worthy of worship. He has no son, brother, mother friends etc etc .
He doesnt come down in different forms like Hindus believe.
He doesnt have son like Christians believe. He is the unseen supreme being.

I dont mean to be offensive - just curious - I assume that the Jewish faith has the same concept of God like Muslims, or maybe not - if someone can correct me. Is there a comnunity other than muslims, that has the concept that I am talking bout

Why is it that where Islam is fully practiced (Saudi, Iran) there's too much ignorance and unjustcice, but where it's less practiced, the country prospers (Turkey).

There are lots of questions posted about the Bible account of the Creation, and Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
I often feel like giving the world the benefit of my wisdom, but the answers section always contains dozens of platitudes, mundane comments, and self-rightious waffle.

Where do you get all this rubbish? Do you get it from School - from your Church - from gossip in the Pub - from your social worker - from your younger brother?

Haven't any of you read a novel that had a meaningful effect on your life? Whether or not you believe that the Bible is the word of God is a matter of your faith and that is entirely up to you, but does that have to make it factually correct?

Please start thinking about it, and the first person to tell me why the stories of Adam and Eve and their family feature so prominantly gets 10 points

Is it because less people are going to church, and you know it, so you have to go to where the people are?

i am a song leader at our church. I am the vice- president of our youth ministry. I found out that our ministry adviser and our ministry president are secretly having an affair, in spite that the other one is already married, though is also already separated (but with no legal supports) long time ago. As my superiors, i don't know if i should tell them that i really don't agree about their relationship. or should i just shut up and really just pray for them and leave it to the Lord?
we are just few in the ministry and when this truth comes up, it sure would be a big issue for all of us...
any particular related event or verse in the bible you could share with me, that i could relate to this? thanks!

lately my closeness to god has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. A couple months ago there was a period of three weeks when i was so high on god, its like i was living for the first time. Slowly but surely however, I began to hang around some old friends and i once agiain put god to the side as i got into some bad things as well. So here I am now, Lonely as heck and i feel far away from him again. The friends i ditched him for are long gone over some drama nonsense and that leaves me ALONE. I'll get back "Up" again wont I? Those three weeks of perfect harmony made me believe i could never go back to my old ways, but here i am again turned from the light. Does this happen to anyone else? What helps you to get closer to god?

I mean, peole will run and hide to avoid them. Personally, I wil answer the door. I'm a Christian and know what I beleive, and have no fear that they will change what I beleive. And I don;t mind listening to them try to explain what they believe. ..But I don't know hardly anyone else that will even answer the door.

And when he gets bored or sick of us, all he'll have to do is shake us real violently, and like the picture on an "Etch-a-Sketch" we'll all just disappear.

Maybe in a "kneejerk" reaction or during a moment of weakness? If so, is that a sin???

I read about a Natural Man and it has nothing to do with worshiping nature or Gods Creation. Yet, there are those who confuse the concept of a Mother Earth as sacred, and praying for her protection and OUR home as evil. While others claim that man shall have dominion over the earth as evil and responsible for pollution and desecrating the environment. Jesus prayed in a veil of nature as did Mohammad and other biblical Prophets and earth spirituality people, could it be that radicle right religion has it wrong?

Ezekiel 18:20
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

James2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is just

Matthew 19:16-17
"And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?"
"And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments."
Jas 2:26
"Faith without works is Dead"

The Devil copies everything that God does but He does it in a lying manner, Since God has a Godhead then shouldn't their be a devilhead?

We believe in the Father (God), Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit (The Spirit of God). Satan copies this concept and will decieve many During the reign of the AntiChrist. Lets see what the bible says.

John 8: 44 calls Satan "The FATHER of lies"

2 Thes 2: 3, John 17: 12 calls the Antichrist "The Son of Perdition"

1 John 4: 2-3 Talks about "The Spirit of Antichrist"

As you can see here: Father (Satan), Son (Antichrist), The Spirit of Antichrist.

Is this a coincedence, I think NOT

Satan is copying God

with the word fo God and the prophets of God and any man who claimed to be a prophet and was not in agreement with his word nor his prophet was considered a liar.
Was Muhammad in agreement with the prophets of God and the word of God?
The books of Moses are not in agreement with the Qu'ran nor is the Gospel. The prophets of God did foretell of a Messiah who would atone for sin.

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
[The Bible, Mathew 5:17-20]
