I mean, peole will run and hide to avoid them. Personally, I wil answer the door. I'm a Christian and know what I beleive, and have no fear that they will change what I beleive. And I don;t mind listening to them try to explain what they believe. ..But I don't know hardly anyone else that will even answer the door.

In college it used to be a big pain in the butt to let a jehovah witness in. You had to hide your 'water pipes,' papers, stems, seeds, etc. It always takes a few minutes for the incense to kick in. You have to open the window and let the smoke fan out. They tend to get offended by the pictures of naked women on you pc screen saver, so you have to shut the monitor off. Then there is the chance you'll have a forgotten pipe laying around and they'll call the police. Things have changed now a days though.

Now I have to explain why two women are coming out of the bathroom together. The couple next door refuses to answer for similar reasons.

Basically I used to hide from them because I didn't want them calling the cops when the smoke rolled out the door. Now I shoo them away before all the homos and them get into a shouting match.

Maybe when I have my own home, I'll invite them in. I've led a couple people away from Christianity now. It was the army that showed me the Grey Side. If they are coming to my door to convert me, I see nothing unethical in leading them down the path to agnosticism.

I for the main section do, yet then, i'm a Witness:D all of us have the main appropriate to the two answer or no longer answer the door. I see little to no ought to cover. If I do p.c. to respond to the door to whom ever is there, I then the two get right into a dialogue, or with politeness say no thank you and gently close the door.

I always answer the door and politely tell them "I am not interested, Thank You."

I know most of the JW's in my town because my In-laws are JW and my husband was born and raised here going to the JW kingdom hall (He is agnostic now).. So often times after telling them I am not interested I will get questions about how my in-laws are doing (they moved to a different town a few years ago).... After a short visit and maybe a restroom break they head off again..

lol. My mom, who is a Christan and is working towards a PhD in Theology, answers the door, invites them in, debates and tries to convert THEM.

I do not answer the door because I don't feel the need to be bothered by their nonsense. In fact, I do not answer the door at all unless it's friends, family, or an expected delivery.

I answer the door.
I even invite them in.
Their first words are ALWAYS "Do you think there is an increase in violence and evil in the world today?"
I say "No".
This always completely throws them, and so now the game begins!
They're very nice people, imo, as long as they stay away from that religious mumbo jumbo.
But they are philosophically lacking, and so they're very easy to play with.

I myself answer the door. However, there are times I wish I did not. Some of these people just won't go away. Like they are trying to sell their religion like it is a vacuum or set of books..

I wouldn't run and hide I just answer the door. It's always fun to tell them to go **** themselves, they really don't seem to expect that,I guess some people are polite when they tell them to go away, either that or they're easily shocked. I know the Mormons for one sure seem to be shocked when you tell them to go do something good for the world by shooting themselves in the face.

I do not answer the door when anyone who has not called ahead or who is not invited comes knocking. They are rude to just show up at my door.

I answer the door, but I am usually quite irritated.

It has nothing to do with confidence in what I believe, but the arrogance of someone else who would come to my door to convince me to believe what they do.
