The most important aspect of being a Muslim is to believe in the ONENESS of god. In other words, God alone is worthy of worship. He has no son, brother, mother friends etc etc .
He doesnt come down in different forms like Hindus believe.
He doesnt have son like Christians believe. He is the unseen supreme being.

I dont mean to be offensive - just curious - I assume that the Jewish faith has the same concept of God like Muslims, or maybe not - if someone can correct me. Is there a comnunity other than muslims, that has the concept that I am talking bout

1. Allah (SWT) 'God' is only 'One', has no partner or son, and neither gives birth, nor is He born. He is eternally besought by all and has no beginning or end, and none is equal to Him (Quran Chapter 112)
2. He is the Merciful and the Compassionate, the Guardian and the True Guide, the Just and the Supreme Lord, the Creator and the Watchful, the First and the Last, the Knowing and the Wise, the Hearing, and the Aware, the Witness and the Glorious, the Able and ' the Powerful. (Holy Quran example).
3. He is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. (Holy Quran example). The question of Allah's (SWT) 'God' existence has preoccupied men's minds for many centuries. Those who believe in Allah (SWT) 'God' seem to agree that the limited finite human intelligence cannot prove the existence of the infinite boundless of Allah (SWT) 'God'. It can only illustrate or demonstrate his existence to the satisfaction of the curious human mind.
Those who deny Allah's (SWT) 'God' claim to rely on science, philosophy, or special theories of knowledge. Their arguments are sometimes inapplicable, sometimes irrelevant, always complex, and often incomprehensible. However, the developed mind will find its way to Allah (SWT) 'God'. Failure to find the way does not mean that there is no way. Denial of reality does not make it unreal.

I am Muslim too. You have received quite a number of good answers above so I will not repeat them. However, you need to know that Hinduism does believe in one God. Islam has the Asmaul Husna (the 99 names of God which represent his many facets). The different Gods and Goddesses in Hinduism are merely different characteristics and manifestations of one God. You must understand the religion is over 5000 years old and a largely non-literate population needed something more tangible to understand the different aspects of the one God.

Islam has its roots in exactly the same tribal culy (Abrahamic) as Judaism and Christianty), and so has at its root the same godhead. Its distinctive additions are the use of war to secure converts and the ritualisation of the oppression of women.

Judaism promotes a single god. Christianity goes to lengths to claim the "three are one". But all are predated by earlier monotheistic gods such as Akhenaten.

However, it is har dto see why believing in one non-existent being is in some way superior to believing in many, not why a single god is logically or morally superior to many.

Basically all the scriptures teach ONENESS of God. Hindu Scripture says that. Bible speaks that . Jews following Old testment believe in One God. If we honestly study we come to conclusion that Unity of God was the major teachings of all the Prophets and Most of the religion.
Early Christians also believed only in One God and trinity was invented centuries later. That's why the word 'trinity' is nowhere in the Holy Bible. Nor there a verse where Jesus says 'I am God worship me. But Jesus taught ' , ...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mark 12:29)
"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God." (Mark 10:18).

Hence Unity of GOD or Allah is universal truth. If all belive in One God, that would be the solution for all our differances.

In the name of Allah , most Gracious , most merciful :-

I think you are right about us having almost the same consept that few religion have..I'm a Muslim by the way

what I'm Saying is..It is not only that you beleive in Allah , you should worship Allah the right way as well

I'll just talk about Muslims because I'm not qualified to talk about other religions

We don't have a consept about how Allah look Like or when he existed - may Allah forgive me - ..We just - Like you said- believe in his oneness

Jews beleive in that too , and the real jews shoul have listned to their messenger Muses when he said that there will be a profit called Mohammed and he ordered them to beleive in him..but they didn't

I'm not offensive but I think almost all jews have nothing called promises..they - the jews gangs in Israel - Kill my brothers everyday in Palestine an they Desecrate Muslim's sanctuaries Like " Almasged Al-Aqsa"

If jews belived in Allah the right way..they would be muslims..I think

I've Departed the topic and I'm sorry..but I rpeat.. It is not only that you beleive in Allah , you should worship Allah the right way as well

WWW i wanted to respond to your answer to a clone of mine sen b. You correctly stated several times in your answer sen b is not a Muslim, sen b is not a Muslim. True she is not but she is not sen b either. She is cloning me and along with several other Muslim women terry g, LOTR fan, azra, Proud Muslim etc clones us constantly.
I the real sen b am most definitely a Muslim and you can clarify that by checking both our accounts and its clear to see she is not me and is correctly as you pointed out not a Muslim.
I just wanted you to know there is a real sen b who is a genuine Muslim and not to confuse us in the future brother, insha Allah.
Asalum Allikum.

I believe if "Allah" and "Jehovah", or ABBA are all seen as vengeful old men in the sky, and if Muslims and Jews and Christians all believe there is only one God, then obviously we must be talking about the same God.

According to Muhammad these Abrahamic faiths are worshiping the same God. i would tend to agree with yout hat the allah of Islam is not the same God as the god thatwas worshiped prior to Muhammad and yet Allah says he is this God. This must surely cause a delema for Muslims. I am a Christian and I believe in one God. he is the same God that Moses spoke of and is the God of Abraham. God created man in his image God is morer than one part he is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and these are one God. We are made in this image having flesh but also an eternal spirit and these belong to one man. If a man was simply one part he would be wihtout salvation as it is our spirit that continues agter the death of our flesh. The same is true of God without the Son we would perish in our sin.
