Maybe in a "kneejerk" reaction or during a moment of weakness? If so, is that a sin???

"In my life I might of said to someone Go to hell.but I didnt mean it.Or told someone I wish you were dead but I didnt mean it,But I sure wouldnt ask God to send someone to hell."
What's the difference? You've spoken ill of someone in a moment of weakness...whether out loud or in private. Whether you meant it or not...you said it. Good thing God wasn't listening, wasn't it? Or does "he" always listen???

I find it amusing how some have "amended" their answers to explain what they meant...it really is a simple yes or not question.

If you have, you're in the company of only 99% of all Christians who have ever lived and 99% of all Muslims who have ever lived. Buck up, bucko.
And to those of you who claim to never have done so...you're not fooling yourselves OR the rest of us.

No, I haven't.
Yes, it would be a sin.
As for the person who said that those who claim not to have done so, I'm not lying. I really have never done that. There are two reasons for that:
1. Since I became a Christian, there hasn't been anybody that I dislike enough to do so.
2. I've experienced hell, in a vision (which was NOT a hallucination, my mom had the same vision, the same night, at the same time). I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go there.

You fail to comprehend the character and the seriousness of sin. there is not any such element easily as committing in common terms one sin. All sins are available bunches, or communities. vast bunches. I propose hundreds. each and all the tiny little ideas we've that we regularly do no longer even pay interest to....they're portion of the sin equipment. So it incredibly is impossible for somebody to be soo good that they dedicate in common terms one sin. impossible!!! in case you prefer a scripture verse that confirms my assertion study 1Corinthians 5:6 and Galatians 5:9. "slightly leaven leaveneth the full lump." Leaven is yet another be conscious for yeast, the type bakers use to make bread. and that's a logo of ways sin works. only one small quantity of sin is sufficient to wreck an entire life. In different words...there is incredibly no such element as "in common terms slightly sin."

NEVER.
And if that prayer was made by anyone, it would be considered "praying amiss" and yes, it would be a BIG TIME sin.
Good thing there is a way out of the punishment for our sins, yes?

No, quite the opposite. I pray that they get the help they need and find the strength to change their ways.
To gatorboy: Speak for yourself. I couldn't imagine wishing ill of another person, nevermind requesting it to God himself!!

It certainly would be a sin, big time, and the true God would not listen to that type of prayer.

Never. And yes it is a big sin.Jesus said to love your enemies.Jesus said to forgive,Jesus said He who is without sin may he cast the first stone,I think you get the idea who Jesus is now.He is love.Love does not fight hate with hate.Love fights and conquers hate with LOVE>and His Name is JESUS.Love conquers all.

No, I only offer prayers of thanksgiving. To ask for anything is to ask God to alter God's master plan.
