You know I was thinking. If Moses was the last Isrealite involved in the exodus from Egypt, wouldn't that give him a free pass to re-write history however he wished. His stories tell of magic, and truly improbable scenarios. After his death things get a little more believable. Most of the stories after fit pretty good within the guidelines of our current view of reality.

It's a tad predictable. It would have been fairly simple to make heroes out of our protagonists by presenting a (somewhat) implausible situation whereby they overcome the central conflict of the story (Satan, the antagonist).

Curiously, the authors (again) elected to have God intervene, a lazy technique used frequently in the tale. Instead of employing some character development, the good guys in this story are abruptly snatched up by God, out of harm's way, literally a deus ex machina.

This is the supreme cop-out in the writing establishment. Would even a high school creative writing teacher accept such a conspicuous plot device for closure?

Both of my marriages were to Christian men, before I was introduced to Witchcraft...when I lived the Life of being a Christian, they thought of the Marriage License as "ownership" papers along with being abusive!!

Wiccan men are MORE loving towards women and MORE respectful...you DON'T see abusive relationships amongst Wiccans as you would in Christian relationships.

If Christians were not:

1. Constantly trying to deny peoples their basic rights and freedoms.

2. Promote their belief system over other systems.

3. Condemning and harassing those outside their faith.

4. Trying to undermine the education system by having their beliefs taught in place of actual science and history.

Would you be more willing to live and let live?

I know I would.

Another day, another Islamic terror plot, this time to blow-up JFK and surrounding communities. If there was one human on earth, that heard of the plot and didn't immediately think "muslims", I would be sbocked.

These Islamists were said to be "homegrown"...what does this mean? I think it means that they werw not an immediate part of Al Qaeda.

Makes you wonder whether its even useful to distinguish Al Qaeda Muslims from non Al Qaeda Muslims. The London and Spain attacks were massive and yet not tecnically Al Qaeda. Months of Islamic riots I'm France were not Al Qaeda.

New Islamic terror groups pop up every day, such as "the army of islam" which just captured a bunch of journalists. The only thing all these constant Islamic plots and attacks really share is Islam.

i find that those who follow some type of nature based religions are far more understanding and open to different ideas and are less likely to judge others. they are also more helpful when people are trying to discover a religous path by not pushing their beliefs on them but guiding them to follow their hearts

After a discussion with two friends I have decided to compile a list of 10 things to do before my 18th birthday (5th April). I currently I have 9 things that I am happy with but cannot think of a final thing.
Any suggestions, within reason, will be appreciated!

THINGS TO DO BEFORE I AM 18

1. Beat someone at tennis
2. Milk a cow
3. Go up the Spinnaker Tower with my girlfriend
4. Be on top of a human pyramid
5. Convert somebody to Christianity
6. Go one day at home without using the laptop
7. Kiss in a theme park and on a theme park ride
8. Watch High School Musical
9. Swim in the sea on Valentine's Day 2008
10.?

For the record, 18 is not significant, it is just a date that seems easy to do these things by!

...love to bring up the name of Madelyn Murray O'Hair, as a representative of Atheists??

This woman was MURDERED over a decade ago (nearly 12 years to be exact). She was the most hated woman in America - and was hated by most Atheists, who thought that she did not represent them... If anything, she was the biggest problem facing atheists in this country in the 1970's and 80s!

Yet, when a Christian brings up an Atheist, its either this tramp or Hitler (who, for the record, was a Christian who was heavily involved in the occult, attempting to search for the Spear of Destiny - the spear that pierced the side of Christ....why would an atheist be interested in that?)

WHY?? Cant let sleeping dead dogs alone? Or, is this the only mean, ugly, hateful person that you can find to represent atheism, regardless of the fact she is long dead?

If God is ALL-LOVING,
all-knowing,
all-merciful,
perfect,
then why would God be so imperfect and humanized as to say in the Bible such jealous things like
Exodus 20:3
"You shall have no other gods before me.",
and Exodus 20:5
"You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me..."

Or such UNloving and violent things like
Exodus 22:18
"Do not allow a sorceress to live.",
and unloving and violent things like
Judges 9:56-57 "Thus God returned the evil of Abimelech, which he committed against his father in killing his seventy brothers. And God also made all the evil of the men of Shechem return on their heads, and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal."

How can our loving God be so humanized to be jealous and vengeful? How can God be all-loving and do harm? Or, "return evil" when God is not evil?

"I don't care what Jesus says"

You should, he is the gift and truth of life.

"I follow my own way"

You sure like to talk about yourself a lot, don't you?

"Me me me me me"

Are you an opera singer or just another atheist looking to push divorces in this country. When you think about those societies in Denmark that don't allow for just regular people to love each other, but will give special exemptions to people loving goats and cows and such, it really is an insult to what Jesus did for us on the cross.

This was a Christian nation. It can be again thru the power of prayer. Don't allow anyone to make you not pray. They want to take that away from you, but don't let them! Pray is your direct line to Jesus Christ. Don't take to a statue or to some LSD o LDS or whatever the hell they call themselves leader in some white shirt. This is the truth we are seeking here. How many more must lose their souls to the wickedness of choosing other things.
