There are several people who have claimed to do this feat; however, it is always under such conditions that science is unable to verify the truth of the claims - even when the scientists are nearly bending over backwards to get a chance at it.

As far as I know, humanity lacks the requisite biology for photosynthesis, but I am open to being shown that I'm wrong.

This is not true; just something that somebody has circulated, which is more likely an Urban Myth. I can tell you from personal experience that humans cannot live without food. My cousin is anorexic, and got to a point where she was regularly eating one espresso a day, if even that. She was in her early 30's and dwindled down to about 90 lbs. She had to be hospitalized several times, because her body was eating itself (including her heart muscle), and she was on the verge of a heart attack. Even so, she still thought she was fat! In reality, she was a walking skeleton draped with skin. Humans can live for up to a month without food, but not without endangering their health. They cannot live for more than a week without water.

I study nutrition, we all must have some sunlight to process our dietary needs, Vitamin D, for example, requires 15 minutes of sunlight daily, for our bodies to assemilate it naturally. Don't think that you are really getting it from milk. I will give you 2 links that will lead you on your quest. search within them, you will learn a lot.
As for if a human can receive all food from the sun, well, not from my knowledge. although you can drink your nutrition?? is that your query, as you did say "eat"?
Shalom, and happy hunting, hope these sites help.

No.

Human cells don't have chlorophyll. And even if we did, it takes a bit more than just glucose to keep us going. And even if we only needed the same nutrients as plants, we can't suck it out of the ground the way they do.

No. The people who claim to do this are liars. Even plants require nutrients from the soil.

No.

Besides, mammalian homeostasis is requires quite a bit of difficulty to achieve. It'd be hard to believe anything as warm would be able to derive that much energy from photosynthesis.

No. Several people have claimed this ability, but when tested, they all cheated. One guy got caught sneaking out for a hamburger. He claimed he was just going to absorb it's 'essence', but that involved eating it, so he was disqualified.
