If prayers had worked nobody would die..

Jaswinder lost her 27 yrs aged son.. parents wife and all around the boy.. but he died a painful death...despite all the prayers by them.. prayers by priests and prayers by community

My niece aged 16 died a tragic death, despite all prayers by individuals and touts of religions...her father who had recently become religious... became atheist

We have to pay for our Karma... and no god no tout of his have any control over the results of our past karma

God is NOT a Favor dispensing machine. You don't insert so many prayers and God delivers a favlor or a miracle to you. prayer is something as simple as asking GOD how hise day went. Sharing your Feelings, joys, hard times, dissapointments, wishing him well, thanking him for a lovely day outside, or just the sounds of nature outside your window. God is NOT beyond reach of us here on Earth, he is listening to every single word we say to him. Many times folks pray FOR things to happen and MOST of the time, when they DON'T get what they asked for feel that he hasn't answered the prayer. However he HAS. The answer was "No, I'm not going to work that way for you".
you Christians have some funny ideas about God and HOW he works. If I live to be a hundred, I'll never figure out how and why you think the way that you do.

Say that's a good idea: prayer brokers. Are there people who do this sort of thing? If not, it might make a good business venture. You could have a group of brokers make prayers for people. You could charge based on how many people will be making the prayers, the frequency of praying, the volume, etc.
I'm sure someone would pay money for it.

The God has no brokers at all. Those who claim like that are merchants and businessmen. Now a days temples in India are becoming asylums of such brokers and devotees coming for Darshan are being cheated / looted in the name of the God. Worship the diety you love most at home as many times as you want in liesure time. And while doing all routine and essential work / duty, just remember in mind that 'because of You and Your Love and Compassionate Grace / Bliss, I am able to do these things, thank you'. Love all.

I'm guessing that in this case, you are referring to organized religion as "Prayer Brokers". If you follow Catholic dogma, then your prayers are too insignificant for His time, and you must pray to Him constantly, but only while you are in church will your prayers be heard. I realize that most Catholics will scream and yell over this, but hey, I spent 15 years in system trying to figure out why I was only a "good" Catholic if I went to church every Sunday, ate the yucky bread, drank the nasty wine from the same cup as everyone else, and told some dried up old freak all about my naughty thoughts and deeds.

If God is as all-loving and omniscient as this same group claims he is, why do we need the middle man? People don't go to church to communicate with God, they go to SHOW what GOOD CHRISTIANS they are, meanwhile gossiping about who didn't make it, who's getting divorced, etc. Prayer and faith are personal. I don't need someone else playing operator between me and my Deity.

I know you know that it can't be it, and you can prove it, your self, just by praying, that you never get to be that way, as well for HIM(God), not to let you fall a victim of such brokers a/o the warriors. <> this is a good concept of a new born awareness, which can become, or help someone to become into a new and higher level, of Consciousness, Awareness, a/o Conscious-Awareness,

God hears EVRYones prayers. no matter where or when you pray, he always listens. i believe that if you have a problem, the best way to discuss or let it out is through prayer. it doesnt matter how you pray, what matters is that you keep that strong lasting bond with God and spread His good Word throught the world. AMEN!
