With so many diffrent religions out there what makes you as an individual think that you are a follower of the "right religion. I use the term "right" not to imply that some religions are right and other wrong because i personally do not believe that but, i want to know why other people think they are right and that thousands of others are mistaken. Please no beacuse it says so in the bible, tora, karan ect...or because this is just what you have been taught since you were small ( we all know that just because soemone told us soemthing was true doesnt nessecrally make it true, for example how many of us were told santa existed only to lean that he doesnt exsit at all) i want you to look with in yourself and tell me truley why you believe you are on the right path.

I don't believe anyones views to be wrong or right. None can truly be proven. It would be wrong of me to assume that my views are correct over yours.

All that matters is that you are strong in your beliefs without trying to save others. Just let them be and live in unity. It is best to respect all or at the very least tolerate those different beliefs.

No "reasonable Christian" will EVER, in a trillion years, ever be able to give you the "perfect answer" you are looking for. The same follows with all other religions.

But I am a Christian.
I DO HAPPEN TO BELIEVE WITH 100% ASSURANCE that the Bible WAS written by men who were carried along by the HOLY SPIRIT.

I tell you WHY you will never get a sufficient answer. You have NO spiritual discernment. Your eyes are blinded to the truth because you FIGHT SO ADAMANTLY within to REFUTE any truth presented to you.

Every bible prophesy ever predicted which has come to pass in it's INTENDED TIME, has been fulfilled with 100% accuracy, and the LAST DAYS PROPHESIED BY JESUS in MATTHEW 24 and many other places (such as Revelation).....you will see when you decide to USE the faith that GOD gave you.

My Bible says that in the end, EVERY KNEE WILL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! ~ This means, it will happen whether or not you will yourself to drop to your knees and speak the truth before you take your one way ticket to hell for your arrogance and DISGUSTING REFUSAL TO accept HIS GOSPEL.

ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS PROVE TO YOU THE TRUTH< THAT YOU NEEDED HIM: that HE loved you and wanted to remove the veil from your eyes, to show you that the only way to be WITH GOD was thru a personal walk with JESUS (YESHUA)......But Im sure you will pick some dumb atheistic answer..."ugh...I cant speal a mountain or a human being into existence, nor can I travel thru space or time, but I say God is all a big fairy tale for weak minded individuals".....And that retard will take those 10 points str8 to hell with him or her. Good luck with that. PS...your antagonistic spirit is doing you NO FAVORS, you are a damn dime a dozen, you're all mindless sheep, gone astray. AND the perfect thing which makes it that much more vomit inducing, is the fact that YOU ARE ACTUALLY PROUD THAT YOU KNOW NOTHING AND EVERYTHING ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Choose this day whom ye will serve.

Religion is like politics.

You dont seek the right religion, you seek the right religion for you.

Ideally the right one is one the opens your mind a bit, and one that when immersed in it you dont feel so insecure that you have to attack everyone else.

If your content with your beliefs you should be able to let others be happy as well.

I am an atheist-Im not particularly thrilled about this, it just sort of happened.
I studied different religions from 5th grade through college-reading every holy book I could get my hands on including over 50 translations of the Bible, the Vedas, the Quran, the Tales of the Hasidism, Torah, I Ching...this could go on for awhile--you get the point.
At a certain point it just stopped making sense. Logically I see a need for God, but spiritually I feel nothing and never have.

Mr. Taco---you need to look into Hinduism, specifically the belief of maya. It states that all gods are a different revelation of the same God-thus all religions are the same religion just in disguise. All gods usually equate to Vishnu, but it gets a bit more complex than that when you really look into it--usually the messianic style Gods are Vishnu while other gods are other things, but Vishnu is just one way of looking at Brahma anyway, so still all one god.

Most people don't. I spent two years as a missionary, and most religious people are a certain religion because of cultural or family influences. They don't believe that there is any one "true" church, nor do they see any need for one.

I disagree with this philosophy. I believe that either they are ALL wrong or ONE of them is right. I think that I have found the right one, and it is the LDS church. The LDS church encourages each of its members to pray and ask God whether or not the doctrine and scriptures are true. I have done this and have received an answer that I cannot deny. I would go on, but it doesn't sound like you're seeking the truth, only curious about why others are.

I have seen miracles in my life that can't be refuted or ignored.
I have been healed by God many times, when I had no medication and there was no cure and the doctors could NOT take credit, much less the aethists or scientologists and all their theories - I personally prayed for a woman in the name of Jesus and she had one leg 6 inches shorter than the other with 30 witnesses who watched her leg grow supernaturally in front of all of them and she no longer limped when she walked - she was healed, period, God is real, I'm a Christian and I've never seen any other religion or belief system that successfully offers instant healing via the Holy Spirit or by the hand of any other god. You should try going to a healing explosion or seminar and ask something to pray WITH you, let them lay their hands on you and let God work on you in that place for a good 4-6 hrs, keep an open mind, you will see God work and no AETHIST will be able to explain it or deny it. God bless you.

This is a good question, and a difficult one to answer. The truth is that I believe in the basic legitimacy of almost all religions. I believe in a God that created a diverse and varied population, and that it is only natural that there would be a diverse and varied amount of ways to worship and understand God. Why do I think I am right? The similarities between most religions is astounding, and if you believe in God and are open-minded, then it is just common sense. So I guess the real question from my point of view is simply this: do you believe in God or not? I do, because I feel God's presence in my life and have witnessed changes in my self and my experiences because of this. Can I prove it to anyone here on Yahoo! Answer? No, and I never claimed I could. I think that religion is a personal thing, so ultimately it is none of my business whether or not you believe me or not. God is inside you, and if you look you will find him. But you asked, so that's what I think. Good question!

I don't think I am a follower of the "right religion". I do think (although I certainly may be wrong) I have correct views on some key issues, because I seek the best scientific views on the origins of life, its subsequent development, and so on, when it comes to questions about the natural world. When it is questions of what happened, I seek to apply the methods of historical criticism in as fair and impartial a fashion as I can. When it comes to the nature of God, I humbly acknowledge that all my language is inadequate and metaphorical and hope that it is helpful not as in any sense a description of God, but as pointers in the right direction, as it were.

You may not believe in a specific religion, but do you believe in God? See, the issue isn't whether I'm right or wrong, but is my God the true one. That's what matters. Opinions don't. There is only one true God. Therefore, there is only one way to be right. Accept Him, love Him and serve Him. Anything else is wrong. I'm often wrong. That's why I look to Him. He gives me direction and purpose. He teaches me what's right and wrong. I don't have to guess and hope I'm right. He's right.

I've come to where I'm at through years of searching and experience. I don't KNOW that I'm right on anything, but I also have no need to prove to anyone I am right. I accept the possibility I may be wrong.

I'm right because I follow none of them. There is overwhelming evidence in all of the religions that they are all man-made. Their books reflect only the times in which they were written and usually borrow heavily from earlier myths and superstitions. There is no real evidence of any gods.
