Could it be......................Satan?

2007-04-23 05:43:41 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous

I asked a question and somhow received this answer....

In 1988 we entered the period of Great Tribulation spoken of in Matthew 24. We know from this chapter and other supporting Scriptures (2 Thessalonians 2, Jeremiah 25, Ezekiel 9, Revelation 18, etc) that satan is now ruling in ALL local churches. Because the Holy Spirit has departed from every church, it is now impossible for anyone to be saved in a church regardless of the accuracy of the preaching/teaching.

The Great Tribulation is a period of 23 years. From everything we now know from the Bible, 2011 will mark the end of the world and 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. As we continually study the Bible, these dates may change but to this present time everything seems to line up.

I get irritated when Mormons call themselves the only true branch of Christianity because their name has Christ in it, when Catholicism is the only true branch, when it was founded by Christ and Peter was the first Pope. Their false prophet Joseph Smith was a megalomaniac who just wanted to be as famous as Christ. He tried setting up a New Jerusalem in Salt Lake City, but that failed.

Mormons believe these things about God: that He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort. They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.” Though abandoned by modern Mormon leaders, Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ. Christians know this about God: there is only One true God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8), that He always has and always will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm 90:2, 1 Timothy 1:17), and that He was not created,-

From a distance the world looks blue and green
and the snow-capped mountains white.
From a distance the ocean meets the stream
and the eagle takes to flight.

From a distance, there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
It's the voice of hope, it's the voice of peace,
it's the voice of every man.

From a distance we all have enough,
and no one is in need.
And there are no guns, no bombs, and no disease,
no hungry mouths to feed.

From a distance we are instruments
marching in a common land.
Playing songs of hope, playing songs of peace.
They're the songs of every man.
God is watching us. God is watching us.
God is watching us from a distance.

From a distance you look like my friend,
even though we are at war.
From a distance I just cannot comprehend
what all this fighting is for.

From a distance there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
And it's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves,
it's the heart of every man.

It's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves.
This is the song of every man.
And God is watching us, God is watching us,
God is watching us from a distance.
Oh, God is watching us, God is watching.
God is watching us from a distance.

I have heard that Jesus and God are one and the same, people will often resort to stating "Jesus is God".

If Jesus is the Father and the Holy Ghost then is the trinity the one you worship as God?

Ever wonder why the angel Gabriel punished Zecharia by making him mute but yet sort of let Mary off the hook?

If you remember the story, they both doubted the pregnancies that were about to occur (Elizabeth with John....Mary with Jesus)

As a side note, let me also say that I believe that scripture is 100% God-breathed and contains absolutely no contradictions. I am a blood-bought, born-again Christian to the bone.

Any thoughts on this?

On June 12, 2005, my 2 month old son died. He had previously been seen at the local ER and by his physician the next day, and we were told he was okay. Twelve days after, my husband was sleeping with him on the couch after he woke for a feeding. About three hours later my husband awoke to find him not breathing. He could not be revived, and was found to have died from RSV. We loved our son very much and planned to make a wonderful life for him. We, as parents, did everything we believed was required to be a parent. So my question for the masses is...
Why would God allow something like to this to happen? It has taken a huge toll on his family and the ones who loved him. Why allow one to have a baby, just to rip him away.
Also, for the religious ones, do you believe when you are born that God already has your life plan set for you? Does he already know the grief that will come to you through your journey?

Hello,
I have a question in American sign language..........
I am learning the Bible verse
"For God so loved the world, the he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16

Some of the words I can not find in sign language....like

Begotten
Whosoever
Should
Everlasting

If you know any of the signs for these words......... Can you please give me a website so I can see how to sign the words.

This is one of those things I find ridiculous about Christianity; which there are many. but...

Come on. Do you really think that the devil has a monopoly on a number?
It's people that give power to words (and I guess numbers in this case). It's like the N word. . or the F word. They are just words and have no power until people give those words power by being sensitive to it or taking offense.

Do you really believe that some ultimate evil in this universe has chosen this as his own? Or that it was given to him by god?
How do you feel about the number 13? Do you think this has similar supernatural powers? It's the same thing. Superstitious fools give this number meaning or "power"

religion and superstition go hand in hand. It's time to open your minds and give rational thought a try.

666 is just a number.

Okay this will sound kooky, but a "so-called Christian" recently sent me a charming email which ended with "GOD bless." It then went on to say that she said that to those she knew didn't deserve it, so the blessing was thus sent back to the blesser...

Sounds more like a witchy thing to me, but what do I know?!

If so, he is not all powerful because he cannot lift it.
If not, he is not all powerful because he cannot create it.
He may be able to choose not to be able to lift it, but then his choice has resulted in something which denies his omnipotence.
Does this dis-prove God?
