I would be so discouraged to think I had no where to actually go when I die. I enjoy my life here on this earth, I'm going to be so fullfilled when I get to Heaven and all my family and friends are always around to enjoy. Too cool!<><

IN THE NEWS:
Bar Beckons Bikers For Sunday Church Service

OZONA, FL (AP) -- The pastor wears a sleeveless black T-shirt, blue jeans and a backward baseball cap. The collection is taken in a motorcycle helmet. And the first thing you see as you walk in the door of this makeshift church isn't a cross or a stained-glass window, it's a bar.
Steve's Cape Cod, a seafood restaurant and bar known for all-you-can-eat snow crab on Monday and ladies-drink-free night on Wednesday, is reborn each Sunday morning as the Salvation Saloon. Worshippers who go by names like Curly Joe and Wild Bill file in by the dozen -- many holding plastic foam cups of coffee, some biting at doughnuts -- for a service they say is unlike any other.
"This is not your parents' church," Paul White, who created the service and serves as the pastor, tells those gathered. "This is going to bless your socks off."

It may have made sense to "John" (or whoever the true author was), but it seems like you couldn't do much conquering with that setup these days.

Wisdom Behind Dietary Restrictions in Islam

Bob: Tell me why is it that a Muslim is very particular about the words Halaal and Haraam; what do they mean?

Yunus: That which is permissible is termed Halaal and that which is not permissible is termed Haraam and it is the Qur'an which draws the distinction between the two

Bob: Can you give me an example?

Yunus: Yes, Islam has prohibited consuming blood of any type. You will agree that a chemical analysis of blood shows that it contains an abundance of uric acid, a chemical substance which can be injurious to human health

Bob: You're right about the toxic nature of uric acid, in the human being it is excreted as a waste product and in fact we are told that 98% of
the body's uric acid is extracted from the blood by the kidneys and removed through urination

Yunus: Now I think that you'll appreciate the special prescribed method of animal slaughter in Islam.

Bob: What do you mean?

Yunus: You see, the wielder of the knife, whilst taking the name of the Almighty', makes an incision through the jugular veins, leaving all other veins and organs intact.

Bob: I see, this causes the death of the animal by a total loss of blood from the body, rather than an injury to any vital organ.

Yunus: Yes, were the organs, example the heart, the liver, or the brain crippled or damaged, the animal could die immediately and its blood would congeal in its veins and would eventually permeate the flesh. This implies that the animal flesh would be permeated and contaminated with uric acid and therefore very poisonous; only today did our dieticians realize such a thing

Bob: Again, while on the topic of food; why do Muslims condemn the eating of pork or ham or any foods related to pigs or swine.

Yunus: Actually, apart from the Qur'an prohibiting the consumption of pork, bacon (pig flesh); in fact the Bible too in Leviticus chapter 11, verse 8, regarding swine it says, "Of their flesh (of the swine another name for pig) shall you not eat, and of their carcass you shall not touch; they are unclean to you." Further, did you know that a pig cannot be slaughtered at the neck for it does not have a neck; that is according to its natural anatomy? A Muslim reasons that if the pig was to be slaughtered and fit for human consumption the Creator would have provided it with a neck. Nonetheless, all that aside, I am sure you are well informed about the harmful effects of the consumption of pork, in any form, be it pork chops, ham, bacon.

Bob: The medical science finds that there is a risk for various diseases as the pig is found to be a host for many parasites and potential diseases.

Yunus: Yes, even apart from that, as we talked about uric acid content in the blood, it is important to note that the pig's biochemistry excretes only 2% of its total uric acid content, the remaining 98% remains as an integral part of the body.

If you try and use Jesus and forgiveness of sins I will then say where is the proof he did that? If you then say the bible, I will say "where is the proof that something written down must be true? People write falsehoods all the time." If you say God forgives us our sins so we can go to heaven I will say "How do you know he has forgiven you? How do you know there is such a place as heaven?" It's all a guessing game. So, people say I need proof for why God does not exist but they refuse to offer any proving he does in the first place?

You said:
" Who sinned that this man be born blind, He, his father, his grandfather,Jesus replies none, this was done to glorify God"

So you're saying that people born with birth defects have them to glorify god? Thats sick.

Why do Catholics accept that the Pope is infallible? Who decided that he was suddenly unable to make mistakes in proclaiming true doctrine. Was the Pope fallible before 1870 when the dogma was formed?

After sitting in this forum for 8 months, I am well aware the views held by many concerning homosexuals raising children.

I'm curious as to how Christianity views single-parenthood.

One of the arguments against homosexuality is that children of homosexuals aren't raised in a traditional male/female home.

Well, neither are my kids.

Your views?

I don't see anything wrong with it, do you? Remember, God's mind is higher than ours and whatever God wants, there must be a reason for it.

and despite that God is said to be allpowerfull but cannot defeat or intervfer with Satan in his chosen path. And if those who do as God pleases go to heaven and enjoy eternal life, how come that those who help Satan to give God a run for his money are said to awaited by eternal suffering? How can Satan thank his followers by burning them in hell? That doesn’t make sense, or is it?

Do any liberals know what the Koran and sunnah say about, women, Christians and jews, murder or theft?
Every political argument i have had with a liberal ignores the religous implications with regards to iraq, afghanistan, israel and Sudan among others as if they are either ignorant of the muslim implications or dismiss them because they are inconvenient compared to the angle they wish to pursue?

This is the typical liberal answer which is a non answer really.

"Let me ask you this, what does your disagreement with their religion have to do with what we are doing in Iraq? You think your way is better so let's force it upon them? Their religion, their choice. We should not be there. We're not exactly the idealistic nation we think we are. We have our own issues so we need to get off our high horse and fix our own country and stop trying to police the world. It's not our job or our business. "

liberals try actually making an argument on subject.

Is it possible that they could do it with their own original thoughts instead of copying and pasting from various religious websites? Because I swear that every time there is a question on here challenging atheism or evolution, I can google phrases from those questions and find the website they derived from. Don't you have any ideas of your own?

I mean, if god has a plan, do you think he is going to change it just for some shmuck with a 5 dollar prayer book? And if it was in God's will to answer your prayer anyway, why pray in the first place? Also, if god knows everything, even your thoughts, why do you need to verbalize them? Couldn't you just think of a prayer and he would hear it?

Why did god create man, and the universe, but leave no evidence of his existence? Why would god create people with free will, then punish us for using it?
