It may have made sense to "John" (or whoever the true author was), but it seems like you couldn't do much conquering with that setup these days.

Actually, U.T., Revelation 1:1 says that these things will shortly come to pass....I guess the book is now 0-2 on the day.

This is FANTASTIC! I love watching people stumble around claiming which parts of the Bible are symbolic and which parts are literal...depending which particular purpose they need at the time.

True true!

It's only a matter of time before they amend the bible to say that a guy in a white army tank and an endless supply of weaponry will come to earth to conquer in true grand theft auto style! (it'll actually say that too.... for the young kids!)

I feel sorry 4 u. u need 2 try to use what common sense u hav. The bow was a symbol of power, strength, etc,... and same with the horse. Mules/donkeys were symbols of humbleness and notice that although Jesus is King, He rode in2 Jerusalem on a donkey

To quote Einstein-

"I cannot tell you what type of weapons they will fight with in World War 3, but I know in World War 4 they will be using sticks and stones."

I have a good feeling that a man with a Horse and Bow would own anyone with a stick and stones.

Such a person had best stay away from my home. I have many guns that will beat his bow easily.

That was just the form he saw him as. John also saw him as a slain lamb with fire in his eyes.
