but not out of mud or clay but something more fabulous, like peacock feathers or goldstone? Then he let it be written that they were an "abomination" just because the heteros were getting jealous? After all, the bible says straight guys aren't even allowed to touch a woman's bed during her cycle, so gays had 12 extra weeks of hand-holding time

I think they all have truths in them, that every religion has had prophets who speak from a higher power of sorts but at the same time they being human are prone to error, and it is up to the individual to gain meaning from their revelations with a higher power.

If you disagree, please tell me which religion is true and how you came across this knowledge. Also please explain why your knowledge of such a higher power is superior to that of an equally devout person who is a member of another religion.

I believe he will appear as a figure you won't expect to do anything bad at first, then he will become more famous throught the world. He will bring worldwide peace for a brief period for the first time in the world's history using his persuasion and great diplomacy He will perform miracles that only Christ was capable of doing.. Israel and Palestine will sign the 7 year peace agreement. During the 3rd year, the Antichrist will break the agreement and start World War III. The main players will be the United States, Iran, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Russia, and the European Union. Nuclear bombs will be used and almost all of humanity will be wiped out. When the last human beings are dying off, Christ will come down to earth and destroy the Antichrist. This is how I am guessing it will happen.

The Catholic Church performed gay marriages for centuries. John Boswell, a respected Vatican scholar found evidence in the Vatican's own archives, including standard ceremonies. For homosexuality in Islam, read Arabian Nights.

I am not, and I love to share God's word with others, and I pray I will never be ashamed, for there is nothing more important. For as it says:
Romans 1:16
[ The Righteous Shall Live by Faith ] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

1 Corinthians 1:18
[ Christ the Wisdom and Power of God ] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

What are the implications (if any) of considering the biblical texts as composite texts (many authors, many sources) which have been edited together instead of texts with one author (like the Koran)? Is it significant that with the exception of Paul's letters, the biblical books never think authorship is important to mention?

Somewhere in my mind, I saw a reflection
Of my glories and triumphs, for a second
I was afraid to fall and never be lifted.

Why did I close my ears?
Why did I close my eyes?

The darkest moment covered
My heart, where’s the dream you gave me? I
Look up high in the sky, I said:

I will come back to the place,
To the very same moment, I meet you
If I could just take your hand and walk again
And never look back!

I am living the Story
I know you will be there
Just reveal it for me!
Let me go back to the Dream,
I left somewhere in my mind
It will not end never again!

Paganism (witchcraft) predates all these religions, so you can't say you're not connected (however distantly) to it.

Is it possible? Or are they so busy trying to "convert" you, that they don't listen?

Also, I have found that I get a lot of "canned" answers. These are things that people are taught, and they repeat them without thinking. ie: "God hates suffering, and it's really satan's fault."

Don't get offended, now, I'm not saying Christians are "stupid"....

What do YOU think?

(the book of Psalms) are laments. Half of these worship songs cry out to the Lord in a time of despair, anger, frustration, or bitterness (sometimes all of those emotions). What does this imply about the biblical concept of worship? What might this imply about modern worship? How many lament songs does the modern church sing?

that Judaeism and christianity are the only true religions on the planet. Why is it that people of other areas (china, for example) had their own religions that have absolutely nothing in common with the afore mentioned religions. Is it possible that religion spreads just like any other idea or disease, that is, only through contact with infected persons or materials? Is it possible that the god of this religion is a little less than omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient? Is it possible that it is only one idea, of many created by peoples all over the world?

Why or why not?

p.s. yes, this is a personal challenge to a specific person, but I'm very interested in what everyone else has to say on this matter also.

We know from Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." So if we obey any command from the Bible--it is work. Praying and calling on the name of the Lord is also work!

And we CANNOT be justified (saved) by our works! I'm including several other verses in support so that some will not think that this is erroneous. (Galatians 3:2, 10; Romans 3:27; 9:32

Let me also address the theme of "faith." The Bible clearly shows us that FAITH is also a WORK:

"Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;" (1 Thessalonians 1:3; 2 Thessalonians 1:11).

Do you see the light?
