What will the Antichrist be like?

I believe he will appear as a figure you won't expect to do anything bad at first, then he will become more famous throught the world. He will bring worldwide peace for a brief period for the first time in the world's history using his persuasion and great diplomacy He will perform miracles that only Christ was capable of doing.. Israel and Palestine will sign the 7 year peace agreement. During the 3rd year, the Antichrist will break the agreement and start World War III. The main players will be the United States, Iran, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Russia, and the European Union. Nuclear bombs will be used and almost all of humanity will be wiped out. When the last human beings are dying off, Christ will come down to earth and destroy the Antichrist. This is how I am guessing it will happen.

He will come saying he is Christ/ God. Yes there will be a seven year peace accord. But it won't last. After 3.5 yrs the Antichrist/Satan will incite the people into making war on the Jews claiming it was they that murdered him. And every nation will make war on the Jew. And two witnesses for god, probably Enoch and Elijah or Elisha will be brought up before Satan and killed. Then after 3 days they arise from the dead and it is at that time that the real Christ will return. But it is written that God puts a stop to the Jewish persecution with huge hailstones. But if you didn't participate in the persecution of the Jews then you won't be affected by God's anger. Then Satan is locked away for 1000 yrs and then will be loosed for short season.

I think you've got it pretty much correct. He will be very liked by all (so don't expect it to be Bush, or a pope, or Hilary, etc) Satan would have to be super stupid to show up looking like a bad person to anybody.

I think he'll convince both the Jews and the Muslims that he is the messiah that they've both been waiting for. How else to explain the peace he'll be able to negotiate?

I also believe in the pre-trib rapture and that all this will take place after the believers are gone - thus the world's willingness/shortsightedness at the "obvious" 7 year peace treaty between the Jews and Muslims.

Lastly, the US will either be neutral or Muslim by then - this could happen in a very short period of time from today. But that's why Revelation makes no mention of a world superpower standing on the side of Israel at Armageddon.

I agree with much of what you've written. If you want to know more about the Antichrist, read the Book of Daniel; there's lots to be gleaned about the AC's personality and actions there. I see no indication he will be able to perform miracles; instead, the pseudo-miracles mentioned in Revelation are performed by the False Prophet (fire from heaven, etc.) and by Satan (the resurrection of the false son, the Antichrist, after his lethal head injury).

There is one thing you've written that I disagree with: unless I misunderstand you, you believe the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran and other ME nations will occur during the Tribulation. This is impossible, since Eze. 39 tells us it will take Israel 7 years to burn all the implements of war left by the invaders. Since we know the Jewish people will flee for their lives (probably to Petra) after the covenant is broken, then how can they be BOTH in hiding AND burning the implements of the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion? The logical answer is that they cannot.

For this reason, I place the Eze. 38/39 invasion a minimum of 3 1/2 years before the beginning of the Tribulation.

The Bible makes clear that there are MANY anti-Christs, and that there were MANY in operation at the time of the apostles.

After all that has been written about not taking the mark, don't you suppose that if someone were to appear trying to force this that there would be mass revolts, maybe even mass conversions? Wouldn't this be prima facia evidence for Christianity? Wouldn't the disappearance of "millions" of Christians simply cement this truth?

I think it will be far more subtle than this. You will recall that the annointing of Aaron to the priesthood included blood on his toe (symbolic of his walk with God) his right hand (symbolic of his work for God) and on his right ear (symbolic of his hearing from God.) Through the centuries, the number 3 has become associated with God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The number 6 has become associated with man (body, soul and Spirit indwelt by the triune God.) The number 666 therefore is man making himself out to be God.

On the hand it symbolizes that by their works they deny Christ's authority and do what they feel like doing. On the forehead it symbolizes refusal of Christ's authority over the thoughts. Under this scenario, MOST OF THE WORLD ALREADY WEARS THE MARK!
