1) Who said God has planned every detail of every persons life? Wouldn't it make more sense to simply create a self running universe based on the laws of gravity and physics instead of creating one that cannot function without perpetual divine intervention? That makes more sense to me. That way things run themselves and he only has to influence things when he sees fit, instead of the whole thing depending on him.
In other words, we pray and he can respond or not. Either way it is an answer.
Lastly, how much more likely are you to give help/something to someone if they ask for it very nicely? Maybe God wants us to pray to show that we care and acknowlege him.
2) Why does God need to provide evidecnce of his existence? If God exists he does so independantly of us acknowledging him or not. For example, I exist whether other people acknowledge it or not. I don't need to provide evidence. Believe it or not, I am right here.
3) Who said God needs to punish us? Ever thought that we punish ourselves? God would be smart enough to use cause and effect. Ex. YOu steal, you go to jail. If you lie all the time, people don't believe you even when you tell the truth. If you kill someone, you too might be killed. These are consequences that are very punishing on there own.
Think of this; if you spent your life denying God and hurting people and then died, how would you feel if there turned out to really be a God? Even though he would most likely be willing to forgive you, you would be feeling pretty bad for a long time.
4) Here are some questions for you: Who started the big bang? How did that ultra dense little dot get there in the first place? Where did the matter it was composed of come from?
Why is there something instead of nothing?

Prayer has a way of focusing your attention and also helps you grow in your relationship with God and better determine his will in your life. It also can help others by petitioning God. Many times we see in Scripture that God WAS or WASNT going to do things based on the actions and petition of believers.

Yeah that's the great thing, God values us enough to listen to us and take our opinion on board. There are several examples of people reasoning with God and him changing his plans as a result. God has left us plenty of evidence for his existence. And the last question is like asking why we put murderers in jail. They were only using their free will to murder right? Why punish them?

you need to pray because in doing so your showing your obedience to the creator...no....you pray to show obedience....you verbalize them to profess it with your mouth as it says to do soo in the Bible, again showing obedience...you do not want to think your prayers because the Devil is in your thought life... He created Man and the unverse and did leave plenty of evidence just look around....free will is not in the Bible...and this free will that is tossed around is misunderstood as it is only a will created to give us a choice but those choices as any choice you make comes with a result some good some bad....He is not only a loving God but a Judging God and rightfully so if He is soo loving He will do whatever it takes to keep you on the right path to keep you out of danger..however if you fail on your own....free willl... He is soo loving that He will not force you to change your free willl..... and you send yourself to doom not Him...

...To quote Katherine Hepburn in "Rooster Cogburn", she says to Hawk the gunman, "You're an unpleasant sort of fellow." And you seem to be, also, sir. What are you angry about?
...I wonder if it's worth trying to answer your questions...I'm thinking nothing will be acceptable to you.
...Prayer is talking to God, and expressing my dependence on Him. I don't pray with a gift list in mind...I pray to worship God, conform my will more to His, seek forgiveness for sins, and seek His wisdom. I could think a prayer, but heck, God is a personal God, and I can talk to Him, and tell Him anything, and that's what I prefer to do.
...Sir, unless you cannot see, you need only look in the night sky, or out your front window at dawn, or gaze at the mountains or the seashore, look at the intracasies of the universe, of human blood, all the varieties of plants, flowers, and animals...
...And you tell me, God has left no evidence of His existence? Open you eyes, man, where did all this come from?
...People were created innocent, Adam & Eve had it made with only one restriction, and disobeyed, and the whole race fell. We are all dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1-2). We are spiritual corpses, without hope...and there are those who say that man has free will, but I don't believe that - the fall of man did affect men's wills.
*****************************************************
...4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
...5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
*****************************************************
...6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
...7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
...8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
...He was also raised on from the dead on the third day.
*****************************************************
...Now we are called to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved. Acts 16:31
*****************************************************
...What you really ought to be asking is something like - why does God bother with any of us, or give any of us a chance to repent and believe on Christ?
...What about you, friend? What will you do with Jesus who is called Christ? He calls you to repent and believe the Gospel.
...P.S. Since God is infinite and we are puny, finite humans, it's rather silly and illogical to demand that God should conform Himself to your will -...He is entirely self-sufficient, perfect, makes no mistakes, and owes no one an explanation for what He does. If you expect an explanation for every objection you concoct, perhaps you should objectively study it out in Scripture...but be sure you have become a believer in Christ first, or you will not be unable to understand spiritual concepts.
...(1 Corinthians 2:14...But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.)

Why ask why.........isn't that why it's called faith? He did leave evidence. It's called the Bible and the Holy Spirit. He's a loving God. If you choose evil, then you pay the consequences. Yet he's loving enough to have sent us his only son to die on the cross for All of our sins. All you have to do is believe.....have faith. That's not asking much, considering what Jesus went through.

prayer is a connection to you and the Father. Just when you plug your ear to a cellphone, you and God have an open connection to speak to each oher. There are things that has to happen in the Earth that only you can do, and so you have to be an open vessel for God's use. If you choose to.

Because prayer is talking to God....any relationship needs communication. He left evidence of His existence. But if you aren't willing to accept it, you won't see it. He doesn't punish people for using free will. He's a gentleman and wants us all to come to Him, but won't force His will on us.

Because God is raising up a people who will seek His face & pray & repent & then & only then will He tell them what to pray about, His people believe Him for it & then God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven....
God said " my people perish for lack of knowledge" so before you go getting upset over the truth, maybe you should, just consider that God is supreme, we are not....

We pray to God to show our humble dependence on Him and to develop our relationship, and the strange thing is that prayer is not a one way street either,it is a dialog and never a monologue
