Because they're mentally unstable and should be institutionalized..... in a mental facility that is.... as christianity has already been institutionalized.

Alright check this out ... in order to make a delusion or a fairy tale it must come from something. ever heard the phrase 'EVERYTHING COMES FROM SOMETHING' well it does, and that goes for anything wether it be delusion, fairy tale or even reality it came from something. now the words and the meanings of these delusions and tales may change to help the story teller grab your attention more but when you look at the big picture you see the same thing.

Is all of mankind in the same boat? Yes, we have many things in common. We are born, we grow up, (sometimes), we live, love, make mistakes, learn, have children, work, play, dream, etc. Oh, and we all die. Many things apply to all of mankind. Will yourself to float off the earth and stay off, if you can. You can't, because God created this pesky thing called gravity. All mankind is subject to it. God also created life. He produced, arranged, directed and wrote the script. He knows how it works and what it's supposed to look like. For everybody. I guess you consider what Jesus Christ said and did, (his "wisdom"), was all either a deception of epic proportions, or he was delusional lunatic. Here's another possibility. Maybe he was telling the truth! Common sense: how many times can I lie to you before you no longer believe in me? His disciples believed in him to the point of being martyred for their belief that he rose from the dead. If it was some elaborate hoax, would you die a slow, painful death, refusing to recant, just to keep a "fairy tale" alive? Christians just happen to believe that he is who he said he is. That's as simply as I can state it. If he isn't, we've lost nothing. If he is, you've lost everything. Where's your enlightenend tolerance when you need it most? It could save your life.

That is a good question. My favorite delusion is the view of many towards the beginning of life. "It just sorta happened!" A fairy tale indeed. The theory of evolution should begin with "Once upon a time..."

It depends. You could use that argument against a Mormon, an evolutionist, a nutcase in an asylum that claims hes george washington and we need to make him president again.
Many people are going to come and make truth claims throughout our lives. I think the only thing we can do is examine them invidiually according to wisdom whether it is either our own or Gods.

"Believe" is a key word here. It means to be convinced something is true without proof. I wanted evidence at an early age, and I found much that religion is fantasy.

Why do you think that everyone elses' beliefs are fairy tales? I guess you must be the only source of true wisdom out there, huh?

Anger and a need to quarrel does not sooth the wretched beast.
How can you learn wisdom when you cannot even view your hand without the assistance of light?
