I get irritated when Mormons call themselves the only true branch of Christianity because their name has Christ in it, when Catholicism is the only true branch, when it was founded by Christ and Peter was the first Pope. Their false prophet Joseph Smith was a megalomaniac who just wanted to be as famous as Christ. He tried setting up a New Jerusalem in Salt Lake City, but that failed.
Mormons believe these things about God: that He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort. They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.” Though abandoned by modern Mormon leaders, Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ. Christians know this about God: there is only One true God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8), that He always has and always will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm 90:2, 1 Timothy 1:17), and that He was not created,-

but is the Creator (Genesis chapter1, Psalm 24:1, Isaiah 37:16). He is perfect and no one else is equal to Him (Psalm 86:8, Isaiah 40:25). God the Father is not a man, nor was He ever (Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, Hosea 11:9). He is Spirit (John 4:24), and Spirit is not made of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39).

Mormons believe that there are different levels or kingdoms in the afterlife: The Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, the Telestial Kingdom and outer darkness. Where mankind will end up depends on what they believe and do in this mortal life. The Bible tells us that after death, we go to Heaven or Hell based on whether we had faith in Jesus or not. To be absent from our bodies as believers means we are with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). Unbelievers are sent to Hell, or the place of the dead (Luke 16:22-23). When Jesus comes for the second time, we will receive new bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). There will be a New Heaven and New Earth for believers (Revelation 21:1), and unbelievers will be thrown into an everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). There is no second chance for redemption after death (Hebrews 9:27).

If christianity is the correct religion, then I think that each denomination has it bit wrong and a bit right.
No one religion or denomination within is correct or better than any other.
I'm neither atheist nor religious. I am mostly humanist, but I do not discount the possibility that there may be gods or whatever. But I rely on humans more than any prayer I might make.
"I am a god unto myself, I will decide what it best for myself" sort of thing.
One thing I have noticed was that most christians view mormonism as a cult.
**ADDED**
As explained to me by a mormon friend before, all people can hear the voice of their god, yet only the Prophet (Hinkley) is able to do anything about it for church doctrine. They believe the Pope is a false prophet, if I remember correctly.
This sort of pissed me off, because its like the pot calling the kettle black.
Prophet and Pope are the same thing, just two different people in two different denominations saying the exact same thing about each other.

First of all, what makes a Christian. Think about it. All the Bible says it that you need to accept Jesus into your heart. It doesn't say you need to be part of one of the most corrupt organizations in the history of the world (the Catholic Church). Also, please recognize that LDS members (what mormans call themselves) do believe in Jesus and in God. I am not mormon and so I will give you this advice; most people in the world believe what they believe because that's what they were brought up on. Yes the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints is much much much different than any other denomination of Christianity and conflicts mostly with the Catholic Church (because of your church's heiarchy and foundation). The question is extremely hard to answer because Mormons do believe in God and Jesus, but do not follow standard church practice (base faith entirely on the Bible). If anything, recognize that all of this faith is "blind" in that there is little to no proof of anything that every happened in the Bible and so all we can do is follow the teachings of a book that was transcribed centuries after Jesus' death and surely has flaws. In other words, follow the ideas and motifs of the Bible, not the word for word orders as they appear. Oh, and tell the mormons that call them selves that they need to follow their own church practice by not singling themselves out or making themselves stand out solely because of their faith.

I would like you to understand that we do not think that other religions are not Christians, but however we think that the Keys were lost that were supposed to be passed on from Peter. I also think the Pope has been called of God and does receive revelation from the Holy Ghost from time to time to lead that great church. You know as well as I do that if a person truly believes in Jesus Christ and tries his or her best to follow his word as proclaimed by the leaders of their church knowing the saving grace of the savior will make up for what we fail in, it will not matter what church we belong to. The savior will not judge anyone harshly who truly tries to live his word and tries their best to live righteously. God bless you and lets try to love each other no matter what religion the other is. Oh I don't expect you to ever quit trying to convert me and I you. I however think we should be able to be friends and stand united in righteousness for those things we both believe in.

Are Mormons Christians? Yes, Latter-day Saints are indeed Christians. In fact the official name of the Mormon church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Prophet Joseph Smith explained that Jesus Christ is the central figure in the doctrine of the Mormon Church:
"The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it" (TPJS, p. 121).
Latter-day Saints believe that complete salvation is possible only through the life, death, resurrection, doctrines, and ordinances of Jesus Christ and in no other way.

Why does any one religion have to be above the other, who in the world says that Catholicism, Christianity, Mormon, Islam etc is the one true religion! Again, this is down to personal choice.
Why don't you all just try living together and just accept that each of you has a choice in your own religion and leave it at that, stop trying to outdo each other. Why do you think stupid war's, bombings etc happen, all in the name of religion.
Just deal with it and let's all just get on withour lives.

Basically, you're saying that only those who believe exactly like you are Christians. This is called "exclusion by definition". You make up your own definition of what is or is not a Christian, andif a group doesn't fall into your narrow categories, then they aren't Christian.
But, the definition of "Christian" is follower of Christ. And that's what we are. No matter if you say different.

Roman Catholics might have a few false prophets of their own! I am not a Mormon, but you are being rather silly. I knew a Mormon that had it right on with Jesus. Roman Catholics are very proud for all the history they've had. They shouldn't be. They really, really should tread carefully.

Christians are believers in Christ.
They don't have to be good, bad or anything, just believers.
I am not a Christian, nor do I wish to be, but why on earth does your definition differ from the bible's?
Jesus said whosoever, or did you miss that part?
