I know i'm supposed to believe every word of the Bible. I'm just curious, if people know that the Bible was transcribed by man, doesn't that mean the Bible is flawed? It may be God's words, but if it was written by man, shouldn't it be considered a product of man and therefore somewhat a product of sin?

Considering the blatant favoring of the male sex in the text, as well as other preferences, isn't it possible that perhaps not everything in the Bible is from God?

I'm asking because recently i felt it's almost impossible to follow the Bible completely without forgetting something, and thus not knowing when or how one has sinned. Is it really reasonable to ask a Christian child to know all that he/she should or should not do?

This is about my last question. How many of you actually clicked the link before answering? I'm guessing not many, because you assumed that today was when they stated this. This is not true. If you clicked the link and read the beginning of the article, you would have seen that it was scheduled for immediate release on the very day of this tragic and cowardly act.

As you have to curdle the milk and after a day you have to seperate butter by running it in mixie with a butter seperator. Likewise God is not visible to our naked eye. Intense meditation within and disengaging the mind will lead to realisation. This philosophy is found in Hindu, Buddha, zen and other treditions. Those who practiced and found perfection like Shri Ramakrishna, Shri Vivekananda, Paramahamsa Yogananda and His preceptors have recorded their experiences. Do you agree the philosophy?

Why christians do blasphemy with bible.
"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know."
[The Bible, Acts 2:22]

U.S. MUSLIMS CONDEMN TERRORIST ATTACKS

The American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC), today condemned the apparent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington and offered condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured.

The AMPCC statement read in part:

"American Muslims utterly condemn what are apparently vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism against innocent civilians. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators. No political cause could ever be assisted by such immoral acts."

Leaders of the American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC) held a meeting in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to issue the following points related to the terrorist attacks:

1) We assert unequivocal condemnation based on our religious values and our identity as American Muslims;

2) We do not need to defend every mania

Do you avoid these type of questions:

1. Question about someone else's faith.
2. Question about something you don't know.
3. Question about something you can't relate.
4. Questions you can't really answer.
5. Questions that would promote hatred and racism.

As for me, as a muslim, I tend to avoid these sort of questions. If I saw a Christian question about Jesus and I never went in there and go screaming "JESUS DIDN'T DIE ON THE CROSS!".

Yeah sure my religion teaches me that but hey, my religion is my religion, not yours so, I don't.

Another thing I always avoid is the Islam Vs. Christianity questions.

No matter how much I hate the hypocritical Christians, I can never bash Christianity itself, because I have Christian friends as well. No matter how well the point my fellow muslim gives, I can never support him. Because he is like the pot calling the kettle black.

So back to the question,

Do you avoid specific questions?
What sort and why?

I am talking about religion, especially christianity, do you think the people on here who copy and paste and quote bible verses, rather than answer in their own words, are overcompensating for the fact that they truly don't understand what their spiritual path is all about? Trying to hide the fact that they have their own questions, their own serious doubts, the fact that they don't feel........like they think they should? Are they trying to convince nonbelievers or are they trying to convince themselves?

14. The Bible says that Jesus is subordinate to God

1 Corinthians 11:3 “Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”

1 Corinthians 15:28 “When he has done this, then the son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”

Since Jesus was subordinate to God, he was not God.

15. Bible says that Jesus grew in wisdom & learning, but God is All Wise & does not (need to) learn

Jesus grew in wisdom, but God is all wise:

Psalms 147:5 “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.”

Luke 2:52: “And Jesus increased in wisdom.”

God does not need to learn, but Jesus learned.

Heb. 5:8 “Although he was a son, he learned obedience…”

I have heard it said that you can't spread religion without fear. Paganism is spreading rapidly and I do not see the fear in it's doctrines. Just wondering if I missed something.

An old and beautiful legend says that, at the time of the crucifixion, the dogwood was comparable in size to the oak tree and other monarchs of the forest. Because of its firmness and strength it was selected as the timber for the cross, but to put to such a cruel use greatly distressed the tree. Sensing this, the crucified Jesus in this gentle pity for the sorrow and suffering of all said to it: "Because of your sorrow and pity for My sufferings, never again will the dogwood tree grow large enough to be used as a cross. Henceforth it will be slender, bent and twisted and its blossoms will be in the form of a cross-two long and two short petals. In the center of the outer edge of each petal there will be nail prints-brown with rust and stained with red-and in the center of the flow will be a crown of thorns, and all who see this will remember."

The Bible says:

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man…”
Hosea 11:9 “...For I am God, and not man...”
Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible:
John 8:40 “…a man who has told you the truth…”
Acts 2:22 “Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.”
Acts 17:31 “He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed”
1. Tim. 2:5 “…the man Christ Jesus.”
God is not a man, but Jesus, may God praise him, was a man, therefore, Jesus was not God.
2. The Bible Says that God Is Not a Son of Man
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man...nor a son of man…”
The Bible often calls Jesus “a son of man” or “the son of man.”
Matthew 12:40 “…so will the son of man be…”
Matthew 16:27 “For the son of man is going to come…”
Matthew 28 “…until they see the son of man coming in His kingdom.”

I am a Christian, but I am extremely critical of my faith. I do not believe lightly and this is one of my major questions. Compare Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. (If you're not already aware that the Jewish Temple was destroyed in AD 70 then do some research before attempting to answer here.) These prophecies outline the destruction of the Temple and then it goes on (Mt 24:29-30):

"But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. "And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.

Then it says in 34:

"Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place."

See my dilemma? Jesus said he'd come back, but he didn't. Only real answers please.

And please don't give me the excuse that someone else started it, that's so juvenile. Regardless of how someone else acts do you not have your own morals and ethics? Why do so many of you insist on acting like school children fighting in a school yard?

I believe in God - it's MY RIGHT. Sure you may not, and that's fine, believe what you want, but why demean what someone else believes? This goes for the Christians that demean others too! I know not everyone behaves this way, but I have seen SO MANY that do! Why? Does it make you feel better to put others down? Is it because you have anonymity? Some of you on here act like small children throwing tantrums. Do you really have nothing better to do with your time then be insensitive and destructive?
