what's the point of having a bible? can't he just speak out loud daily to us? it's not like it's that difficult for him. he's god. it's not like he doesn't have the time, he'll be around for all eternity. probably doesn't even have to do it every day, maybe just once a week, like at church.

I just read a question where a man seems to have accpeted that man took down Jesus. I have never read something more ridiculous and incorrect. He gave His life, and rose again He conqoured death and lived...

What do you think?

I think you Christians need to come to a unified agreement on this, rather than saying "yes" or "no", whichever happens to benefit your argument at any given moment. If God gave people free will, then the Bible is a fairy tale for it claims God repeatedly interfered with humanity - that's not free will. Else, if God did not give people free will, then God is responsible for all the bad things in the world, not people. So which is it? Is the Bible fiction, or is God a rotten turniphead?

What Do You Do In Heaven Because I Dont Want To Worship God/Jesus All Day And I Dont Want To Burn In Hell

Ps:Do Not Say There Is No Heaven Or Hell

I enjoy watching history being dug up. But most shows are always trying to disprove the Bible, stating that no evidence is found to prove it is real. I believe that God wants man to simply have faith that he exists.

because the Catholic church do not claim that receive revelation from God so that is why I understand that they have near of 700 hundred case of sexual abuse and they don´t know that happens but evangelicals claim that God reveal them things, why never tell them such kind of things?

Someone wrote this on my question about Hell. I said I don't think it exists because a loving God wouldn't allow any of his children to burn forever:

"Yes hell is real, and the loving God you talk about is showing love by keeping the evil ones away from his children, hell is made for the fallen angels and the souls that worship them"

Do you guys actually feel that people like me, who are moral and lead good lives are EVIL because we aren't Christians? I know not all Christians believe this. Do you?

I understand every American citizen's right to freedom of speech, religion, etc....but am curious as to how its justifiable to stick religious propaganda under somebody's door if they aren't home? How do I know they didn't break in my house? I called the place a few saturdays ago and asked them why they did this and the guy got smart with me and told me they can because Jesus Christ says its okay.

Is it appropriate to take a newborn baby that may cry to a very small Reform Shabbat service on Saturday? I cannot get there for Friday nights. I am so worried about disrupting the other congregants. Rabbi has assured me that the baby will be welcomed, but I don't think the other congregants will appreciate any disruption(s). We don't have child care services either, or that would make life much easier. What should I do?

Why has it been historically so difficult to prove that this argument is invalid? I admit I've had a difficult time wrapping my mind around this argument, but nevertheless, I think I should, at the least, feel some of the force of this argument. Regretably, I don't.

The last several months, I get these pairs of people -- nicely dressed men, maybe two women with some kids -- coming to my door on Thursday mornings. They're nice enough, and they have their literature in hand, but all the eagerness just goes out of them when they see me and I say hello. Now, friends, I admit I don't look a lot like my avatar, but it's not my looks that's turning them off so much as I don't speak Spanish. Mind you, they speak perfectly good English, but they apparently don't want to spread the Good Word to damned souls like me; they'll even ask me for referrals of folks here who do speak Spanish, but then head out fast when I don't refer them to my next-door neighbors, whom they could meet if they'd just bother to knock.

I'm hurt, friends. What is going on here?

I mean, Christians would feel almost compelled to buy them. It’s like….If a writer finds their self living in a town full of fishermen, they sure as hell not going to write about the alarming drop in fish stocks around the world.

So bragging about selling Christian books to Christians…..get your hand off it (I do so hope the intended recipient of this reads it).

I have spent most of my life travelling, and my experience is that if you attend a church for a while and then go elsewhere, either in town or out of town (most of the time out of town) then no matter what efforts you make to stay connected the church totally disconnects from you. I thought that was true until I ended up staying in one place for 3 years, and then we got to know a lot of people, and then again left due to work, and were away for 7 years and most people stayed in touch with us and included us, then my wife died suddenly, and now all I hear is how far away I am. OTher far away people dont' hear that. Meanwhile I've heard from local people that if you go to another local church they as a policy cut you off and don't talk to you anymore. They say this is biblical but I dont' think so.It's like is your brother no longer your brother because you move?If your sister moves, aren't they still your sister? What makes you not a part of a church, just moving on doesn't ?????THANKS

I consider my baby to be a blessing, but if unmarried sex is a sin, why did God give me such a wonderful blessing?

I always hear them saying "christians are ignorant", I always have to see a disrespectful answer by them especially towards Christians, what did a Christian ever do to them?. They're very disrespectful and I had enough of them, and I must agree with them when they say christians are bad etc but they're worser than any other Christian. They're also so closed-minded & judgmental.

It seems that while most have had "the talk" like anyone else and they may have even had anatomy and physiology in High School...they still enter into marriage with a HIGH level of naivete or innocence as far as how the female body works, where everything is and when they hear the parts of the female or male body they seem turned off completely. At what point does talking about the female body or male body for that matter become science? Why is talking about sexuality so wrong and why does it make people so uncomfortable? Are we in our church so afraid to learn something? are we afraid that sexual education taught properly will lead to perversions? Why is it that learning more about her body and his so taboo? I would think that learning more about the body and its capabilities could only improve intimate relationships. and it may be something more comfortably spoken within the bedroom, and it may be sacred in nature, it is still important to know as much as possible. am i wrong?
