If you understand what omnipotent means, you understand that God can not create something and not know its future because time does not exist to God. If you understand this you understand that God knew Satan would rebel before he created him. If you understand this you understand that God is responsible for evil. If you understand this you understand that God is guilty for your sins, in the same way you would be a guilty parent for leaving a loaded gun in the crib. So you should be able to see that by the doctrine of christianity God is when its all said and done, responsible for the very thing he says he is saving you from!

You can not argue that God is not responsible for evil because he is omnipotent and the creator of all things. All 'things' meaning EVERYTHING, if God is then he is. I look forward to your answers.

live free, for one year; what would you do and where would you go?

"free" meaning free from everyone in your life; no connections; no restrictions; just you and where it is that you would want to go, and what you want to be... fantasize for me (if you will)...

...why haven't you done this yet - why have i waited so long to do so?...

I feel tommorow is a special day I will go to church and pray ,as best I can I will fast and thank Jesus for dying on the cross so I could be saved.

What are ways to you honor the Lord Jesus on Good Friday?

I am not catholic but I do feel that Jesus should be honored and prayed to for all he has done and continues to do.

Ok, i feel i had to speak out against the people denying evolution. How can you deny things that actually existed. It's kind of brain numbing to think people actually deny evolution. I'm glad more christians are comprimising and saying god could of planted the seed and evolution took place and it's a lot more reasonable then saying people devloped as is.

My question is to the ones who deny evolution and never read an earth science book in their lives; Why? why do you deny it existed when there is tangible evidence. You can lick, smell, taste and touch a fossil but the latter can be said about "god's word" and don't say bible either.

btw people aren't called evolutionists that is just dumb.

Some studies show that more and more youth are showing their v-card with pride. So...is virginity become the 'in-thing' again?

All I can say is that if it is that's a very good thing. My feeling is that, indeed, in high schools and on college campuses virginity is not so shameful anymore.

what if the father or mother molests or otherwise harms the child? are there bylaws that say what happens in the mother or father harms the child by beating it severely(i'm not just talking about a smack on the bottom , i'm talking leaving bruises and broken bones), or if the mother or father takes sexual advantage of a child? what then?

"The LDS-affiliated Brigham Young University also conducted survey research into education levels and religiosity displayed among the Mormons. 41% of Mormons with only elementary school education attend Church regularly. By contrast, 76% of Mormon college graduates attend Church regularly and 78% of Mormons who went beyond their college degrees to do graduate study attend Church regularly. As Mormons attain more education, it seems, they become more devout.[14] These findings, again, contrast with national norms; national survey data published by the Princeton Religious Research Center indicate that the higher the level of educational attainment, the lower the level of religious zeal. The idea is to get a brief synopsis of your "religious" beliefs, not a book of explanation.

I put "religious" in quotes because I don't necessarily think belief and religion go hand-in-hand.

Here's what I believe:
I believe in one true God. I believe that Jesus was God's son and also God. I believe that Jesus died to attone for my sins. I believe I am a sinner and not in any way perfect. So, I need Jesus. That's it.

I can prove it, but I'm not necessarily looking for proof here either. (You can read the answers I leave for other questions if you're looking for proof) Just simply answer with what you believe in :).

I am considering converting to catholicism. I don't want people's opinions on whether you think i should or not, I want answer.
What prayers are said and to whom and why

How do you believe you are "saved"

Do you believe in hell?

I also have some questions based on what I have heard about the catholic faith and if you could answer them, I would really appreciate it.
Why the repitition on prayer. Don't you think God, Mary, whoever the prayer is said to would get sick of the same thing, as would you if I just typed one word over and over again.

You say the sacraments must be performed to be saved right? (correct me if I am wrong). well then what happens to people in the remote parts of the world who have led good lives, but have never heard the word of Jesus or God.

Why do people go to hell?It is said Satan punishes them there for not following the word of God. He tries to stray people from God, why would he punish them for doing so.

Look at the breeding of animals, man can reduce or enhance features so easily. And even add things which weren't there before (swim skin between the paws of retrieving dogs). If all is meant to be the way it is, why is that so simple in such a short period of time?

I posted a question about this earlier, with a link to a CNN article. Somone posted a MUCH better article! This is from the NY Times and is one of the most profound articles I've read about god belief. I will never be able to forget his analogy god-brains to martians-breasts.

Your thoughts? (And if you're not interested in reading it, don't bother making an assumption about what it's about and posting - thanks)

I was taught the Jewish religion stemmed from christianity way back when and expanded from there. We had someone say to us the other day that their ethnicity was Jewish. I thought Jewish people were people that prctice Judaism<--spelling? and if you were Jewish you were still from Israel or of another country, etc. Can someone clarify?

You see humans are the only organisms on Earth that can think, rationalize, have faith, and ect. However, if we humans and all animals (with their respective categories) came from the same original cells than how the other organisms cannot do the same things we do? Is it because of our Genetics (Evolution involved); is it because of God, or because of both?
