If you understand what omnipotent means, you understand that God can not create something and not know its future because time does not exist to God. If you understand this you understand that God knew Satan would rebel before he created him. If you understand this you understand that God is responsible for evil. If you understand this you understand that God is guilty for your sins, in the same way you would be a guilty parent for leaving a loaded gun in the crib. So you should be able to see that by the doctrine of christianity God is when its all said and done, responsible for the very thing he says he is saving you from!

You can not argue that God is not responsible for evil because he is omnipotent and the creator of all things. All 'things' meaning EVERYTHING, if God is then he is. I look forward to your answers.

All things of God are real, divine, and perfect. Everything else is an illusion, not real and not lasting. What we perceive as evil or Satan is really the determination to ignore that divine reality or act in ways that do not correspond to it.

Well said. You need to understand what is meant by "everything". Everything does not include our decisions. Everything means exactly that - every THING. Every rock, every tree, every person. Every person was created with a free will, which means free even from doing God's will. The reason why the loaded gun in the crib analogy doesn't work is because Satan KNEW what He was doing when He rebelled against God, as do we. Because of His love, God chose to save us from our own (not His) decision to break His commandments. "Knowing what we would do" doesn't make God responsible for something that we do. If I know that you're going to throw a rock at me, am I responsible to stop you from committing this evil act? Bit it's different with God. He didn't do anything to deserve or provoke rebellion from the people He created. God's laws are simply a reflection of who God is or what He is like. That's why His saving us is an act of His mercy and love. He doesn't owe it to us.

"At first it might seem that if God created all things then evil must have been created by God. However, there is an assumption here that needs to be cleared up. Evil is not a "thing" - like a rock or electricity. You can't have a jar of evil! Rather, evil is something that occurs, like running. Evil has no existence of its own - it is really a lack in a good thing. For example, holes are real but they only exist in something else. We call the absence of dirt a hole - but it cannot be separated from the dirt. So when God created, it is true that all that existed was good. One of the good things that God made was creatures who had the freedom to choose good. In order to have a real choice, God had to allow there to be something besides good to choose. So God allowed these free angels and humans to choose good or non-good (evil). When a bad relationship exists between two good things we call that evil, but it does not become a "thing" that required God to create it."

God is not the one doing the evil deeds.

Neither is Satan.

Humans are.

Yes God created the concept of evil by the sheer fact that he gave humans an ability to chose between good and bad and the ability to listen to Satans suggestions.

Satan doesnt even do anything evil per se. All he does is suggest, and humans do it.

Some even call this the EGO.

As for God, yes, in order that we may distinguish right from wrong, God created Satan, and He knew exactly what each and every one of us would do.

but as a good friend of mine has said: in order to judge us, He gave us free will, so we may be judged by our actions. So He could say: look, this is your life, this is what youve done. So pay up.

He could have judged us from the beginning without even giving us a chance to prove our worth, but He didnt, because He is all wise. All knowing.

Yes, God is omnipotent and created EVERYTHING. The reason he created evil was to teach everyone a lesson and to help us realize that evil things or evil people are what will prevent us from fully being happy. This is why we all need to do good things and be good people and help each other out. It is up to us to reach happiness.

and you cannot say that God Knows all things in the future tense. being omnipotent or omnicient, He may know everything that is and exists about the universe,
God created two sons of the morning, One son decided to choose to rebel against God, that son became satan of his own choice. But in the beginning all the souls of heaven were created and were Good.

I like you too!

I have always told people who try to convert me that if their God is so good, then why would Social Services take away his children if he treated them as badly as he has. Many things that have been done in the bible to test Christian belief is just short of sadistic. The whole story of Lot is the best example! I'm just glad I wasn't raised with this little respect for others!

It says right in the bible that God created evil. I believe it is in either Isaiah 43 or 47 off the top of my head (I'm too lazy right now to go look it up)

So what is your argument? God is not guilty for disobedience. Are you guilty for your child's mistakes? You know that when you have a child they are going to do wrong, take wrong turns. Does that make you responsible? No - your child's choices are their own.

Under the legal concept of strict liability, God is responsible in some way, for all that he created.

There is no getting around that fact.

Perhaps that's why God sent his very own son to redeem mankind from Satan, sin, and death ... even at the cost of his own life.

ok,l and for this reason His in basic terms begotten son took the sins of the full international upon Himself. For the 1st actual time EVER he replaced into separated from His Father. does not sound like plenty, whether it is a humongous element. So God paid for the sins you assert he's to blame for. And it is a modern presented to us. loose salvation. loose on our ingredient. The third guy or woman of the Trinity living in us. Guiding and loving us.
