I just read a story where a lesbian was denied communion when her preist found out she was gay. I think only the church member should decide if he/she wants to receive communion...what do you think?

I GO AFTER THEM......!

Yes I see them carrying their Watchtower Magazines and I ask them....

WHO RAISED THE BODY OF JESUS? They answer God Did!

I then have them read this......

(John 2:19-22) Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

(Joh 2:20) Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

(Joh 2:21) BUT THIS - - HE SPAKE - - - OF THE TEMPLE = = = OF HIS BODY.

(Joh 2:22) When therefore he was risen from the dead, = = his disciples remembered = = that he had said this unto them; = = and they believed the scripture, = = and the word which Jesus had said.

They DON'T like that, and I ask them, Can you come and GIVE ME AN ANSWER to my Question?

Some, JUST WALK OFF......

Some, say Yes, and NEVER COME!

Thanks, RR

I read a scripture in the Bible that confused me. It talked about keeping a head covering on when women pray. Why was this? Is this still valid? Is it s special head covering or does a hat work?

Sam Harrris makes an interesting point by saying that murders done under the name of Mao and Stalin werent because they were atheists, but because they were dogmatic.

So are atheists mainly against dogma and not religion per se?

Why do athiest even bother to answer questions on religon and spirtuality, when they dont even belive. Why dont you go to the science section or something. Why bother answering a question that trys to define someone belief. If you truly dont belive why not move on with you life and leave the answers to actual belivers.

Also fish or chicken for dinner?

rephrase:If all living organisms came from a simple cell than how did it survive if it did not had previous genetic information?
I mean you can't survive if your not accostumed to the enviroment, especially for the first cell.

I recently read this, and if it is true, this will be added to my list of unscriptural teachings by JWs. Is this true? If so, what Biblical foundation do JWs have for believing this?

When Jehovah Witnesses visit the homes of others to preach, or ask the address of others to send them periodicals or start an initial Bible Study, why are you hesitant to also reveal your address? How would you react, if one of the individuals you visited during your door to door preaching, obtained your home phone and address, and stopped by your place of residence unannounced to ask Bible Questions during dinner hour? The next time a JW comes by your home, ask them for their home address, or pay them an unexpected visit. You just might be surprised at how they respond to you.

In my dreams I am searching for the gates of hell. I am always either in hell looking around or trying to find a way to get into hell. I don't even believe in hell anymore. I have no clue what this means.

i've been here a while now, and am starting to recognise some of you on various posts, and to tell you the truth, i think the atheists have much better sense of humor here and are pretty clever sometimes. i enjoy hearing their views when a serious topic is at hand. yet many of the complaints i have seen from some of them is christians bother them at their door, christians bother them at the workplace, always judging them, and leaving notes for them, and preaching to them, yet after work and while not answering the door or reading nasty notes, where do they find themselves? here with all the christians................seriously, are you guys gluttons for punishment or what, lol......just joking, but something to think about

I guess the mind could be considered material because its caused/functions by/because of the brain but it could also be immaterial since my thoughts are not physical, hmmm what do you think?
Also, do you think the immaterial/metaphysical aspect of the mind is in a sense proof for the metaphysical world?
What causes the mind to come into existence? Humans or God?

If Solomon's temple was destroyed a long time ago and God no longer lives there. A reconstucted temple of Solomon still isn't the real thing because God's not there anymore, he no longer dwells there, it's just a building. So, how can it be the temple of God? Or maybe the temple stands for something else?
