i've been here a while now, and am starting to recognise some of you on various posts, and to tell you the truth, i think the atheists have much better sense of humor here and are pretty clever sometimes. i enjoy hearing their views when a serious topic is at hand. yet many of the complaints i have seen from some of them is christians bother them at their door, christians bother them at the workplace, always judging them, and leaving notes for them, and preaching to them, yet after work and while not answering the door or reading nasty notes, where do they find themselves? here with all the christians................seriously, are you guys gluttons for punishment or what, lol......just joking, but something to think about

My biggest complaint is that I've seen some characterizations of atheists that suggest, or state outright, that we're morally bankrupt and incapable of love. One of the reasons I post here is to show that atheists are just like everyone else.

as a religion Christianity doesn't support what these 'Christians' are doing. But i would take it as a compliment that they care so much about you. Although even i have to say that sometimes they are over baring, we call these people BIBLE BASHERS LOL they like to force the faith on people, not realizing it drives people further away- not to mention scars them for life with the belief that all Christians are a little mental when were really not :). Sometimes you have to step back and let people live their lives.

I often wonder where these people live and work that so many Christians are pestering them. Most of the Christians I know are very private about their worship and spiritual lives. Perhaps that is why the atheists feel the need to come here to learn more?

I guess we are sort of gluttons for punishment. lol. Actually, it's one thing voluntarily being on a forum where the subject of religion is discussed by people of all belief systems. It's another thing to be accosted on your own doorstep or in your workplace. Other people's religious beliefs are THEIR beliefs, and no one has the right to harass anyone for not sharing those beliefs.

Well I tried to ignore you guys. But about 5 years ago I concluded that it was impossible. I feel the need to get out there for political reasons. I don't make it a point to tell people in regular life.

All the good questions are for Atheists....
Well, my entire family are Christians, so it's not like I'm "getting away" from it anyways. To be honest, I like to see people's points of views and gain information on all religions (yes, even Christianity!)

it could be two things
1 they want christians to give the point that they are fine as is and they will be ok in their life and just want to express that point until they are given their proper space
2this is my personal view(I apologies if it insults some one really sorry) they say to the public they don't want religion yet in their most inner thoughts they do and so they keep this connection so that one day they accept religion hopefully God in all his full grace that will be there waiting for that choice( again i do apologies it this insults some one)

have you ever tried talking to a christian... can't ever get your view heard they are so busy with their practiced rhetoric you can't get reasoning in without them getting angry.. this is a place where people with views other than christianity can be heard..... christians always act like they are the only things on the planet even thought they don't care about it.... the category is religion and spirituality there is more than Christianity out there..... atheist have spiritural views too..

uh the christians dat bother u at the door are the jehovas witnesses ...their story is different okk..real christians believe in Jesus...i believe jehovas witnesses dnt. and listen itz ur choice...GOD USES THOSE PEOPLE DAT PREACH U SO U CAN KNOW about our savior AND MAKE A DECISION....DA MOST IMPORTANT DECISION OF YOUR LIFE. u decide if ur going to accept him or not.

That's weird because I don't have people bugging me all the time. I've never had anyone bug me at work or leave me notes. I don't bug people either. How is this possible that it never happens to me?
