U.S. MUSLIMS CONDEMN TERRORIST ATTACKS

The American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC), today condemned the apparent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington and offered condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured.

The AMPCC statement read in part:

"American Muslims utterly condemn what are apparently vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism against innocent civilians. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators. No political cause could ever be assisted by such immoral acts."

Leaders of the American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC) held a meeting in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to issue the following points related to the terrorist attacks:

1) We assert unequivocal condemnation based on our religious values and our identity as American Muslims;

2) We do not need to defend every mania

Just as there's so many sects and fractions of Christianity, equally so for Islam.

My woman is Pakistani and her parents are Muslim, living here longer than she's been alive.

Her parents are peaceful, loving, giving and get this, human beings that get tired when they've had a long day at work and happy when they watch my children play.

Anyone at any point in time can take a simple statement like, "Love thy self and spread that love to everyone" and change the context of it to follow one's own awareness level and agenda. Some people do that with love and compassion like Christ, or Buddha or Mohammad and then some people do that with force like President Bush or suicide bombers.

It's not the religion, because the essence of that belief, which is nothing more than a statement of love and compassion, is pure.

Rather, it's the person's self conditioning of the mind/matter phenomena that often uses the mask of religion to fulfill one's self serving agendas and desires.

I even have under no circumstances heard a Muslim condemn terrorism except forced to accomplish that via the two a central authority or the information media. there heavily isn't an outcry against a Muslim via a Muslim.

Have none of you noticed that we are being trained to hate as well? We are being shown video and articles in the paper every day that are intended to make those the government wants us to hate appear to be inhuman. This sort of activity has taken place in every war and power struggle since the dawn of man. Does no one question the validity of the propaganda and suspect that we're being played like a piano. The masses on both sides of every fight are being sharpened like a weapon, which is their intended use of us and our lives. A little bit of doubt is a healthy thing. Remember, people can lie, even on television!

I think that most people realize that not all muslims are evil, and furthermore than many, perhaps most, muslims in the U.S. support the U.S. and are against terrorism. Still, islam is a religion that spread far and wide thanks to terror, and a great many adherents of islam use it to justify terror and violence. Most of these muslims live in third world theocratic and/or totalitarian countries. I do not think the worst of muslims that I meet on the street in the U.S. However, I do not use their often reasonable attitudes as a guide to either islam or the behavior of the majority of muslims around the world. Do you really think that I should?

Of course. But it's good you reminded people of this--or possibly informed the ignorant masses who don't read (or is that can't read?). There are just too many zealous twits who will turn a blind eye to truth or any evidence of it in order to believe the unbelievable.
