Is it possible that God created the world through evolution? Given the fact that God is timeless, could 6 days be subject to his own timeline not ours?

I would think he'd be pissed. All that senseless killing and no one determined who's idea of god was better? How pointless.

TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE READING THIS

There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord. One night when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the dad shot the Mom, right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. The little girl watched it all. She then was sent to a foster home. The foster mother was a Christian and took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday School, the foster mother told the teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. The teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?" The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me the night my parents died."
so just tell me wut u think and tell me if it had any effect on u. o ya, r u a christian?

If the pope said 'We must reclaim the holy land and we all must go there and kill the infidels', would you do as you were told? After all, the pope is god's agent on earth and is infallible.

(If anyone says 'That wouldn't happen', try reading some history.)

What are wrong with my dreams? please read?
When I am asleep and when I dream, I am actually "awake". Sometimes I hallucinate too. Like I am sleeping and awake and yet dreaming? it's extremely frightening too. I heard scary things and scary sights. I force myself to wake up but it's kinda hard. The noises I hear...are freaky. No, most of the time. This happened to me like 8 times in one night. No matter what position I was in, it would just come back. help!

im really not trying to make anyone mad or anything or to threaten me with going to "hell" (refering to my last question "what do you think happens when you die?") but i just need to know how some one could have such confidence in such a religion. I mean i wont go into why i dislike the religion but i just want to know. Please try your hardest to give me some good reasons. thanks P.S sorry about the last question i didnt mean to tell anyone how to answer i just wanted honesty. also know that i have the very most respect for those of you who can believe in a religion without good reasons.;)

Evangelicas hate catholics and think they're giong to hell

almost all the denomintations i've talked to says mormens will go to hell and the mormens say likewise!

christians say muslims are going to hell
Muslims say jews are going to hell
They all say atheists and pagans are going to hell

who uses it has no knowledge of it.

2
you heard me before, yet you hear me again.
then i die until you call me again.

.
Some Christians find the bible is word for word truth (or close to it). Others find many parts of it to be simply metaphors or stories (like Genesis, or Noah).

For those who take the bible literally, do you find that Christians who do not are blasphemous, or simply have a different opinion? Is it a big deal or no big deal? Your thoughts please.

Where in the Bible does it say "666"? I know it does, I'm not denying that. I just want the paragraph around it. Someone told me that the 666 was a reflection, and Satan's numbers are 999.

"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)

If god is so almighty, why doesn't he do something for people who are too stupid to get with the program and "believe" in him instead of doing what this verse implies he would do? Wicked? I thought he loves everyone!

(Proud to be an atheist!)

I'm writing a paper about a female being depicted as an inferior creature to a man in ancient mythologies like Timaeus and Dangun mythology of Korea and the Genesis. I wrote a paragraph for Timaeus like the following: "However, the women came into the existence as “the men of the first generation who lived cowardly or immoral lives” (Plato, 122). Women were created as somewhat imperfect and less than men. Being born as women was a punishment, and women were the ones who failed to be men. " Apparently, I need some more ideas to expand this paragraph :( Does anyone have any idea for a share? I'm also having a hard time for writing a conclusion paragraph. Should I just summarize my comparions of each mythologies regarding of creation of women or is there something else I can talk about? Thank you for your help!

to live in a meaningless world that you completely understand and see through the bull**** that surrounds you at the expense of blind happiness.

or to live in an innocent, oblivious world of foolish happiness, unable to see through the fog and illusions that we call 'typical life', to live a ordinary typical tacky life that you've been told by others to believe is a 'good' life.

they both suck in my opinion, but every single persons life at its core is one of these two, which are you and which would you want? for matrix nerds, the blue blue pill, or the red?

Why is it christians try to side step the whole issue of the slaughter of the Old Testament? Their excuse is usually 'well jesus changed everything in the New Testament', but guess what? The god of the OT is the one that Jesus was calling his father. Besides which, it isn't like christians removed the OT from their bibles. It is clearly a part of the christian religion. So why do some of you think that the horror show of the Old Testament doesn't relate to you religion?

We only have 2 days to do the poster, tommarow is the last day, so it has to be something I can do in a day.
I have all the basic things, but I need pictures that represent the religion... I already have all the basics like a mosqe and caligrapphy, but I need more pics, especially if it has to do with the difference between sunni and shi'a.
also I am a bit confused, which women need to wear...( I am really trying hard not to offend anyone I am sorry if I do but I forgot what it is called...) the cloth over their faces. Thank you sooo much:)

The other day I was e-mailed by an old friend who is wanting me to take up a part time youth worker position at his church, which in some ways it seems like a great opportunity, and I'm flattered that he thought of me. Just the night before I was praying with a friend about jobs, amongst other things, so that's cool.

I've also got a few hang-ups though - it's working with rough kids, and I'm not sure if I'm cut out for working with youth anyway, mainly because I was very ill with stress a couple of years ago. (I have been involved with youth and kids work in the past, and I've been starting to get involved again).

Prayer and advice (especially from any youth workers) would be muchly appreciated!

I'm thinking of just going along to the groups whilst living from home to "test the water".
