Is it possible that God created the world through evolution? Given the fact that God is timeless, could 6 days be subject to his own timeline not ours?

It's possible...But it does admit the Bible is symbolic and one must wonder how much to take literally....

Yes.

There's a great book called "The Science Of God", by Gerald Shroeder, that deals with your question. His argument goes something like this:

1) According to Einstein, time passes at a different rate depending on the local gravity. So five minutes on another planet could equal a year on Earth.
2) The "six days" couldn't have been six days from an earth perspective, because on Day One there was no earth.
3) So it's logical to assume that it's six days from the perspective of the entire universe.
4) The universe is calculated to be about 15 billion years old.
5) [Complicated mathimatical equations that I really don't understand. Math really isn't my strong point].
6) So... fifteen billion years from an earth perspective equals EXACTLY six days from a universal perspective.

Then the next chapter is all about how, taking in to account the expansion of the universe and such, each biblical day corrosponds pretty neatly to what science says happened.

Genesis actually contains two separate Semitic creation myths that have been rather clumsily fused together - one of them contains the famous '6 days', the other (the first chapter and a half of Genesis) does not. The ancient hebrews did not apparently consider the two to be contradictory, even though the details clearly do not match. I therefore see no reason why Christians should not accept both the Genesis account(s) and the testimony of biological science.

That is the stand of intelligent design. God's days don't have to be 24 hours long. It's very possible He used the process of selective adaptation and mutation to create what we know today. We have to remember God was describing creation to a people who had no concept of present science. In a few millennium it's possible people will look back on us and think we were foolish for believing some of our scientific facts.

This has been suggested but has to be false because.....

You cannot assume that each 'day' in Genesis is millions of years because the "sun , moon, and stars" were created the day AFTER the "plants, and green trees"... (Not possible if there were millions of yrs.)
Don't be deceived...
The order of creation days DOES NOT allow for each 'day' to be millions of years. Read Exodus 20:11

According to Scripture NOTHING evolved but everything was created "AFTER THEIR KIND"....which is directly consistent with the fossil record.
"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9)

Reconciling a belief in a non-specific god and evolution is fine.

Once you pick a religion and providing an interpretation of scripture, it gets more tricky. A literal genesis flat out contradicts evolution, stating man was created in his final form.

Pretty much that's imposible because....

On the 3rd day he created the plants
4th day-light
5th day- creatures (including insects)

If there is millions of years between the verses as some people believe how can the plants survive without light for millions of years(or so some people think) and how would they reproduce without the insects to pallonate them. Know you hopefully can see how that is impossible

No. God created plants before animals. Considering that plant depend on insects for pollination, the plants would have died. On this note, the sun, moon, and stars were created after he created plants.

Sure. I don't know how it was all done, but I do not think it was random. I think the bible was written largely for people who lived thousands of years ago and to their understanding. They would not have understood that time is relative.

Absolutely...but Genesis makes it pretty clear that according to that tale of events, it didn't happen.

However, every bit of evidence we have says Genesis is wrong. I'll take that over a story with no known author, editor, and basis of fact.
