I realize that majority rules... but, It's BS... I mean, god believing people are making this "Free" country non-free. If the Separation of Church and State really works... Then why the hell is "In God We Trust" on currency? Seriously, who else thinks this is getting really ridiculous??

I wrote it to the tune of "Klavier" by Rammstein

V1: Something happened to me / it could happen to you
I thought I was strong / But I found out I was wrong
Something happened to me / it could happen to you
You cast a stone / This sin is an infection
Something happened to me / it could happen to you
Dont shut out my words / this is what you need to hear

Chorus: Now you're a corpse / Sealed in a tomb
You slide deeper / In your utter waste

V2: Something happened to me / it could happen to you
I swear to tell the truth but it is a lie
I promise to live as I feel myself die
It could happen to you / My friend can you hear?

Repeat Chorus

2nd Chorus (exact same music): Welcome to the dead
I'll show you the way
A place where you can hide
To fake being alive

Chorus 3: Bless the distant Lord
God of Israel
Your Father who gave you life
But you spit on his face
You lost your only chance
Now you're under the ground
Your flesh becomes bones and dust

The nature of your heart and the way you treat others, or the way that you follow rules and regulations?

For example, you see people that don't listen to secular music, don't watch secular television, are very particular about the clothes that they wear ... do you think that any of that stuff really matters to God?

Someone earlier had a really good point. Pagans do not worship the devil, they worship (in a loose sense) Nature, for all it's beauty, truth, peace, and healing properties.

Why would anyone believe that was a bad thing? Other than it not being Christianity, what is wrong with it? From a Christian perspective, isn't it good that they are at least appreciating God's work? Why is making an herbal concoction to treat an ailment "of the devil"? Do you think the Devil is appreciative of God's creation and uses it with thankfulness? If so, would the Devil be bad?

A top scientist and an enormously wealthy man both enter heaven with a suitcase each. The scientist brought with him, his extensive research notes. The wealthy man brought with him 20 gold bars. The scientists research notes were worthless, since God spoke the universe into existence, and the notes could not come close to explaining how that happened. The wealthy mans gold bars were used as paving stones, since the streets of Heaven are paved in gold. What we value here on earth will not be so highly valued in Heaven. Why not "store up your treasure in Heaven?" By deeds of love, kindness, charity and self sacrifice?

Seen all the answers on how people are stupid to believe there is a God at all, the demand to "prove" God's existence, is there any "proof", that God, indeed, does not exist?

My 1)parents
2) friend
3)pastor
4) dog
5) LP played backwards,
told me, will not be deemed authoritative proof

Does anyone remember Lester Sumrall, the old televangelist who founded LeSea Christian Broadcasting? I don't take most televangelists seriously, but Sumrall always seemed for real. He said he became a preacher because he was healed of TB at 17 and he never made a show out of his preaching. Just curious if the guy was legit.

do some research on the subject please! it's as far from chance as you can get, and a lot better explanation then, "I don't understand how it happened, must be intelligent design"

evolution does not say that something by chance, it says that small changes are made throughout a long period of time, with no goal in mind.

some critter has a baby thats mutated, most of the time the mutations are bad and it dies. every once in a while the mutation is good, and that critter has a better chance at surviving till it can make and have more children like it.

If Joseph Smith prophesized about things that never came true, (which he did such as “I prophecy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted, and there will not be so much as a potsherd left for their wickedness in permitting the murder of men, women and children, and the wholesale plunder and extermination of thousands of her citizens to go unpunished” (History of the Church, Vol. 5, page 394), and the bible says, “When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:20-22, KJV, then how can a Mormon who claims to believe in the bible also believe in any of the teachings of Joseph Smith?

And for anyone who is or has been in this situation, did you feel it affected the relationship? Was it ever an issue?

And do you feel that your religion has any affect on what qualities you look for in a mate?

Oh, and by the way, I mean someone who is actively practicing their religion. For example, I wouldn't mean a relationship with someone who was just raised Catholic, but someone who regularly attends mass, goes to confession .... you get what I mean.

Many conservative Christians such as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson seem obsessed with issues Christ never mentioned.
The key issues of many convservative Christians seem to be gay marriage, abortion, and taxes. Christ never mentioned the first two and of the last he said, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's". Why do so many Christians obsess over these issues that Christ never spoke on but seem to ignore the things Christ actually taught about helping the poor and downtrodden?

One of the best things about a mystical experience (not clouded by religious views) is that it allows you to feel completely connected to everyone and everything. That I think is the most spiritual experience I have ever had.

Does your religion do this for you? Does it do the oppisite? I know within Christianity for example, it can do both depending on what verses you focus on for your personal spirituality.

Ok, I've been a member of Yahoo Answers for about a week now and I read question after question about Christians and Atheists not having any "proof" for their beliefs?

My question to Christians and Atheists alike is who really has proof for anything (the existence of God, scientific laws and theories, etc)??? Was anyone around before the Universe began to see how it all started, how it all holds together, and how it will end? Can anyone prove that God exists and/or that He made it all? Can anyone prove that gravity will exist tommorow? Can anyone prove that we are really here right now typing our answers to this question?

Please share your thoughts (respectfully please)?
