Why do Christians spend so much time trying to convert people? Hummm .... well, for one thing that is what we are told to do by Jesus. Mark 16:15 tells us "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. ..... "

Matthew 28:18- says this "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, ........ baptizing then in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ......."

Shouldn't they be preparing for the rapture? What preparations should we make? We're already given Salvation. What more do we have to worry about other than doing what Jesus told us to do, tell the good news to all the world? It isn't the Christian's job to worry about the rapture. It is the non-Christian who should worry about the rapture, at least that is the Christian view point.

Haven't you heard? If I convert one more I get a platinum toaster in Heaven! Come on, climb on board!!

No seriously now. First off not all Christians believe in the rapture. I do not, for example. It is a part of dispensationalism theory that didn't pop up till around the 1800's from a girl's fevered dream.

Second, I share the gospel message because I actually, honestly CARE about where your soul goes when you die. OK? You don't have to like it, but that's what I think.

The origins of the doctrine of the rapture are hotly debated. The Orthodox, mainline Protestant, and Roman Catholic churches, which represent the majority of Christians worldwide, have no tradition of such a teaching and reject the doctrine, in part because they cannot find any reference to it among any of the early Church fathers and in part because they do not interpret the scriptures the way that Rapture-believers do.

There is not proof that there are nebulas and black holes out in space, they are all watered down guesses using formulas that are all watered down guesses.

History is fact science is theory.

Historical fact : Every word of the bible is true the reason for this is the mass amounts of people who witnessed the events in it and the prophecies told in it that come true word for word.

sit down and write a few hundred predictions for the year 4000 and see how many come true. Not many i bet.

the bible did this and every one has been fufilled.

the science that kills your faith in god was made by the society you hate, stop stressing about jfk conspiracies and worry about how much the scientific branch of the U.*******.S.A government is feeding you!!!!

STEP BACK PEOPLE AND SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE

they make a good case with evolution and big bang theories i see this.

the only "factual" proof evolution hindges on are fragments of bones that number less then 20, and even those have more proof of being ape bones or human bones not a missing link.

big bang
like i said above all estimation of astronomy is so completly bland that its really more reasonable to beleive in a god then to beleive in a different galaxie.

_SOMETHING_ can _NOT_ come from _NOTHING_

Big bang in text books is tought that the entire "universe" which is what do they say now like 520 billion light years across all started as an atom

this does not make sence.

Read about the bible

google it kids

google proof of evolution and you will see nothing but "scientists say" which rly means "the u.s. government would like you to beleive"

google proof the bible is factual

and you will see nothing but stone solid evidence that the bible could in no way be written other then from the voice of god.

so go ahead and flame me cuz u saw something about jesus' tomb being discovered on the discovery channel.

hope i was helpful

The more they convert, the closer to God they get. Isn't it strange that there is no definative date for the "rapture", that way they can keep saying it is about to happen, but technically aren't wrong when it doesn't.

converting people is what were supposed to do to prepare for the rapture

Lol. The ones who do that do it, to be blunt, because they're nosy and think their way of doing things is the only 'right' way and that everyone else is going to be damned if they can't be converted. I agree, they should mind their own business.

Because they're self righteous enough to think they are doing god's work. I would just love to see those people find out they were wrong when they die, because of their self-righteous arrogance. Then again, I can say the same for Richard Dawkins and everyone who likes him. He might be more self righteous and arrogant thatn any Christian.
