Yes of course I love Him. But I'm trying to get past the 'Him' of Jesus, trying to perceive as He stated "I am the way, the truth...." Trying to see past the man into the pure spiritual reality of Jesus...

And I'm wondering what you see...

When I think of Jesus, I think of the Son of Man, the One who went on the cross for me as me. I should've been the one to take that punishment for my sins, but God loved us that much He sent His own Son, Jesus. He is the way to the Father, so yes The Gate of Heaven also. I love Jesus. Do you love Jesus too? Not being sarcastic.

Though there is no definitive, independent evidence to prove that he existed at all, I believe Jesus did exist. I believe he was a Jewish revolutionary who wanted to reform his native religion, Judaism, and that some of his followers, particularly Paul, embellished his life story and painted him as a man who believed himself to be God, something I think the real Jesus would have considered blasphemous.

I think of him as a mythological character pieced together from Old Testament stories in I & II Kings and the local cult mythologies of the cultures that surrounded ancient Judea.

I am the way and the truth and the light. I interpret that to mean that whatever your way your truth or your light, Jesus is there, on your path with you. Tell me if you don't sense that.
