do some research on the subject please! it's as far from chance as you can get, and a lot better explanation then, "I don't understand how it happened, must be intelligent design"
evolution does not say that something by chance, it says that small changes are made throughout a long period of time, with no goal in mind.
some critter has a baby thats mutated, most of the time the mutations are bad and it dies. every once in a while the mutation is good, and that critter has a better chance at surviving till it can make and have more children like it.

If you're going to throw in the word magic Earl, isn't that what god does?
If you really do believe its just chance, then chance had to be a role in god coming into existance, and the chance of that is a lot less then something slowly evolving over time.

Sunshine, Gravity is only a theory as well. Do you not believe in that?

They don't understand the science. They refuse to try, actually. They prefer to believe the straw man presented by zealots than actually study biology. Science is really "hard" after all.

Creationists think that evolution is chance for a few reasons, most of which is willed ignorance. On one hand, to believe that evolution is mere chance is to make belief in it look absurd: this suits the beliefs of creationist crazies. They build a straw man argument so that they can live more comfortably against a theory which makes perfect sense. On the other hand, an ignorance of the science involved in evolution also leads to this belief. Most creationists simply believe what their pastor says to them, and the most popular ideas in religious circles are all misrepresentations of what evolution truly is. They refuse to do honest research in fear of popping their comfortability and superstition bubbles. They refuse to ask questions or doubt their own dogmas because it's so discouraged. Essentially, they're brainwashed and experiences a great deal of psychological noise - sometimes willed, sometimes not. Either way, they're crazy and scared. That's why.

The process of evolution isn't chance, but the results of evolution ARE. In the Primate family, it was somehow preferable for some primate to evolve with smaller and smaller tails until they completely devolved away (apes) while OTHER primates continued to evolve with their tales perfectly intact (monkeys). Why did some animals evolve to withstand several atmospheres of pressure under the ocean while others stayed closer to the surface? Why did penguins evolve to lose their flight but gain an uncanny swimming ability? Why did snakes evolve into nothing but spines with muscle wrapped around them while the rest of their reptilian bretheren remained fully limbed? The process of evolution is a neverending one, but what comes OUT of evolution is pure chance. Some mutations survive and get passed on to other generations, some don't.

Dear... I've spent 3 years going through the "evolution theory" and from it's name, it "JUST" a theory.
Instead of saying that things have evolved, and that there are "missing chains" to some of the animals that have evolved, why can't it be that the universe was actually created perfectly.
I mean, the flower that can only be pollinated by a certain type of moths is one of the most things that has double standards.
Instead of saying that the moth evolved so that it can reach the pollen, why can't it simply be that God created a certain type of 'flowers' that have a character fit for that type of moth???
I can go on and on, but I really hate long answers (sorry this one had to be so long).
Think it over... in my opinion, it's just a theory, and it will last a theory.
Peace.

Maybe creationists think evolution was tool used in creatiion.
It is kind of like a painting. The paints blend and make new colors. The colors blending together does not make the picture. It is the artist putting the paints on the canvas that makes the picture.
Who knows exactly how long it took to create the Earth. Evolution was probably a tool used in creation.

Really, creation and evolution are not discernable from each other in the context of transformation.
In both cases it's something creative going on...and the thing with creativity is that it leaves no room for certainty....after all, with certainty, what room CAN there be for creativity?
People assume that wherever there is uncertainty all there is is chance...but that's not the case...uncertainty only indicates the absence of understanding...not chance.
Creativity is marked by a some-thing arising from no-thing...an anomaly arising out of a history of conformity...
Creation and evolution are so similar that it seems absurd to pit them against each other as though they were at all different.
Evolution is just ongoing creation.

Actually, it is Darwinism (or science) that says evolution is the result of chance. They say that for all possible options there were in the universe, the place is so large that just about anything had a chance of happening, including life and evolution. That is why creationits believe science is wrong: because they cannot imagine their existence as being the result of pure chance. They need to give their lives a meaning, and chance gives none.

we evolved bottom line, i like to look at it like this:
God is a scientist, he created the heavens, the earth, the moon, the planets, the universe, he tested and tested through species after species till he found something right, and once that was right he must tell his creation of himself. so we evolution and the story of our evolution.
science doesnt lie, history doesnt lie. humans have free will and the smarts to think and ect, so to make us feel like we have a purpose we have the bible. but whos not to say that there really isnt something up there, watching over us, that created all of us..think about it, where did the universe come from? where does it end? where does it start???? we are just little ants under the maginfying glass.

The universe is billions of years old, that has give it plenty of time to create genomes, ovum, sperm, trees, 60,000 different animals, and all the other things you can think of.
Earl D. I live in a house because I worked hard, and built one - God didn't build it (there were quite a few men involved though).
IPods, TV, Autos came from science - not from God.

Evolution is a creation and is just as wondrous as if it happened in 6 days. Life doesn't fit our definition of chance. Physics says that things tend to go from organized to unorganized, but life is the opposite.

It is evolutionist who believe in chance. Evolutionist say creation started from matter. When asked how matter came into existence they say by chance. By chance the big bang happened and by chance life was created.
We do not rely on chance. We know life comes from life. Life can not come from matter. Life is intelligent and conscious. How can it come from the unconcsious and unintelligent matter?
Everything comes from matter you say. Chemical components hydrogen and oxygen come from matter too isn't is right? But how do these two compunds combine to form water? If you place both compunds next to each other in a lab would they automatically combine to form water? No, there has to be intelligence that directs the two to combine. What is this intelligence? It is God. Can you prove otherwise?
