I am a Celt, and have delt with the issue you are dealing with. The issue that we face is that people have believed for hundreds of years that paganism is devil worship. It started with the Crusades. When a habit is so old, and a belief has seen such wide support, it becomes terribly hard to change.
I have always belived that you should be the change you want to see in the world. Do not judge others by old prejudices, and do not react angrily or lash out when prejudiced against. The worst thing to do is add fuel to their fire by cting in a way that supports their current viewpoints.
Everyone can change the world, and everyone is simply a collection of someones who decided they could.

Now I'm not tied down to any religion, I'm currently trying to find myself 'spiritually' if you will so have been researching just about every religion under the sun.
When asking mormon missionaries about things like this they have no answer, just that other religions are wrong, where as when I spoke to my aunt, a pagan, her answers made so much more sense.
Anyway, that was off topic. Its because they're scared, scared that if they stop with the hate they'll realise that they're the ones who are wrong. In my opinion Satanists are just another denomination of Christianity, they created a devil as a powerful entity so therefore should own up, if it wasn't for them he wouldn't exist. Satanists are the ones who sacrifice endless animals whilst pagans respect nature and learn to love it as at the end of the day we are part of nature and nature will always win. Its been mentioned that we can control certain areas of nature and admittedly we have learnt to tame it, but control it? No. Earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, storms, tornadoes.. Get back to me when you've learnt to control those thanks very much.
You never see pagans picketing funerals or judging other or any thing like that, they just get on with their beliefs and don't stop with that. I know its not my place to say it but I think you should do that too, you're a pagan and that's amazing, you don't worship the devil and as long as you know that you'll be fine. Ignore the others, just know that you're right at the end of the day, be the bigger person.

Easter is desperate with the help of the 1st finished moon after the vernal equinox. it extremely is the at some point interior the 365 days while day and night are extra or less equivalent! It varies with the help of better than a month via the years and so it purely won't be able to characterize the date of all and sundry's dying!!! that's actually a mixture of numerous pagan fairs maximum tremendously the spring competition. The call Easter comes from “Eastre” an Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess. additionally the Norse goddess,Ostara who took her call from the Teutonic lunar goddess Eostre Even the chinese language have the competition of Ching Ming the place flora and candies are positioned on their ancestors graves!! The egg and the rabbit are symbols of springtime and rebirth alongside with the custom of giving flora etc!! The Venerable Bede, an early Christian author observed that the Christian church absorbed Pagan practices while it discovered the inhabitants unwilling to renounce the fairs. as a effect lots of what Christians now see as Christians practices are literally pagan!!! exciting to observe the Christians worshiping a pagan competition in spite of the indisputable fact that - makes it purely like Christmas while they do an identical element!!!

I don't think this at all! And I'm a Christian. My father is a practicing polytheistic Pagan; he is not Wiccan but believes in a patheon of Gods and Goddesses -- none of which include anything similar to the devil. In fact, he's a very peaceful, spiritual, and loving person!
Alot of fundamentalist Christians believe than anyone who practices anything outside of their version of Christianity is working for the devil. In actuality, there aren't that many people who literally worship Satan -- the established Church of Satan doesn't regard the devil as a real deity, they're actually just self-indulgent atheists. (Which is okay, I'm just making a point.)
Just ignore the ignorance of others. There are some of us who are understanding and accepting of your beliefs, even if they aren't our own!

No one has the right to tell you that. Christian adults are so signal minded these days. The only reason think your a devil worshiper because in the bible, mostly OLD TESTAMENT stuff, you were considered a devil worshiper if you didn't believe in Yahweh, JEWISH GOD. They thought that if you worshiped more then one god, you were a pagan.

I'm a pagan and I've given up on trying to educate those people whose only recourse to anything they don't understand is to quote the bible (usually out of context) or parrot back what a church elder has told them to think.
If people did some research and opened their minds, they wouldn't hold so many false notions.
They can worship Jesus and whoever they want all they want, I don't care, just don't ask me to do it. I don't want to convert them to being pagan if it's not their path, why can't they extend the same courtesy to me?

Ok, now worship the earth, right? But if you really take a look at nature, it's not a god or goddess at all. Land can be destroyed and made unusuable. Wind has really no control. One it can be a slight breeze, then turn in to a strong gust. And fire? Fire can be controlled by man. (We do it all the time.) And to be honest, I can insult, earth, wind, fire, and water, and nothing will happen. No Goddess of Nature will strike me down.

Paganism is an umbrella over many religions. Asatru, The Lore, Wicca, Witchcraft, Ceremonial Magick, Druidism, Shamanism, Native American, Nuit, Tao and Zhuan Falun.
The wonderful thing is we don't fight each other or look down on each other.
We don't have to have a Satan to threaten with because we can't force ourselves to try to force another into any of our beliefs by a bugaboo threats.
I wish Answers would give us a place of rest so we wouldn't .have to listen to horrible words that we eventually fall to answering in kind.
I wish all the Gods of name would talk to that God of no name. . . or, maybe His followers have driven Him insane and He is shunned.

Because the God I worship, created the earth and everything in it, so why would I worship a tree, or something similar, besides I was raised to think for myself, I don't believe in shoving my believes, down anyones throats, it does no one any good because, the God I worship is a gentleman, he forces no one to love or worship him, it has to be your choice, he sets before us life and death, and only asks that you choose life, what you choose just like in life, is up to you.. I think your asking this question is a cry for help because, how could a tree be fulfilling or the ground embrace your soul, read the bible, what do you have to loose, your hugging trees and kissing the earth, seems like you might want something real for a change, I hope you find who your looking for, his name is Jesus!!

MM - The church has been 'demonizing' the pagan gods and their wordship from the very beginning. The people who ask you if you worship the devil are suffering from 2000yrs of propaganda and crap being spoonfed to them. Be selective about who you tell of your faith, ignore ignorant religious zealots and educate yourself on the real origins of religion. I recommend starting with The Pagan Origins of the Christ Myth
