I looked at one of my friend's questions regarding Buddha, and saw many answerers that implied that Buddhists worship Buddha, and that our religion was wrong because of this. This is, of course, a mistake. Buddha was a man, and a great teacher, and the statues of him that we display are ways of showing our respect and thanks, we acknowledge no higher power. Yet these people seemed so sure of themselves. Why would someone try to disprove a religion when they obviously know nothing about it? Even a rudimentary understanding of Buddhism would have dispelled such a rumor...
