I have never felt at home in Protestant churches except some Episcopal churches but US Episcopal is now pretty un-Biblical in their views of social issues. I really dislike the evangelical liturgy of a pop rock concert followed by a fifteen minute motivational speach. I much prefer the Catholic Mass because of the reverence, tradition and more meditative service. The fact they focus the service around Communion not around the preacher's message seems more meaningful as well. I also have a problem with the grape juice and crackers as only a metaphor when Catholics use wine and bread that are the body and blood like in the authentic Last Supper. Lastly, I like how the Catholic Church doesn't change with the times. It seems less about individual interpretation and more about the traditions that have been passed down from the original Church set up by Peter with Jesus' authority.
I'd just like feedback from Christian brothers and sisters of both the Catholic and Protestant traditions.

And, what am I trying to be saved from?

Traditionally, there are certain beliefs which the church has recognized as heretical. Would you be open to the idea that you could be wrong about a belief that you now hold if it meant that you would deemed a heretic? Ultimately, if you looked at the Bible in a new light and saw that a traditional cardinal belief of the Christian faith was not something that was being clearly taught, would you believe it?

In the Koran the whole mankind is divided as believers (Musalman) and non-believers (Kafirs). He has also urged the Muslims to join the Jihad as Mujahidin to kill the Kafirs and be rewared in the paradise (Jannat). Is it not what the Al Qaida derives from the Holy Koran?

People who know me generally believe I am not more moral or less moral than others. In another word, I am NOT morally different from most people.

btw, I'm a Christian, a new Christian though, and I know God makes the final judgement on my character, but how about people's opinions on me, also important I think.

Like god, he put us in this planet full of many challenges he may give us a hand but hes not gonna fix everything for us!!! we gott do our part!! im tired of people not caring for the enviroment its stupid! We may be the most free country, but gosh dangit! stupidest aswell!! no kidding, fattest country in the world and leading cause of pollution! that is sad!

fear of the unknown, death, problems and the uncertainity of life has made humans hide for cover behind religion. why not wean ourselves off religion and face life and death in a brave manner?

Purely hypothetical. If God were portrayed as a woman in the Bible (I know he's not) do you think you would take the Bible as seriously? Do you think others would take it as seriously?

The bible is filled with people who received messages from angels who spoke for God. Have any of you communicated with, or seen an angel? If so, please explain. Also, are angels always around us? If so, what are they doing when someone is brokenhearted and hurting for long periods? This question is for Christians who have faith and trust in God, regarding angels sent by the Lord, not demonic angels.

For the 3rd F****** time, since Jeffrey Dahmer accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and asked God for forgiveness for his sins.....
CHRISTINS ARE YOU READY TO SPEND ETERNITY IN HEAVEN WITH JEFFREY DAHMER??????????

That is all I want to know. I do not want you to tell me how he died. I do not want you to tell me that it is up to God where he goes. I want you to tell me whether or not you are prepared to spend eternity in heaven with him...THAT IS IT! EITHER ANSWER THE QUESTION, OR DO NOT ANSWER!!!

BY THE RULES OF YOUR OWN BOOK, HE HAS MET THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR ATTAINING HEAVEN!!!!

there are many things in the Bible I don't agree with. I have only been to church 2 times in my life (I am 20). I believe the good go to heaven and the bad go to hell basically. Is it sinful to not agree 100% with Christanity, yet consider yourself to be one?

It has overgone its meaning, its simple "love god and love your neighbor". What is so hard to comprehend about it?! seriously, christians will critisize you, even try to convert you! when they should just spread gods work instead of changing the way people live and gossiping. I swear i have not seen any person gossip more then a christian! not joking!
