Where did you hear that Dahmer accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior? I guess the real question here is do I believe that a man as evil as Dahmer actually was born-again. It's possible, because with God, all things are possible. But I doubt it very much.
Jesus said that strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leadeth unto life ( eternal ), and few there be that find it. This is because you must be TRULY born-again, and follow Christ. I do not see Dahmer as being capable of such a change. Now, do I see him as being capable of being what the cons call a jailhouse believer, i.e. someone that reads the Bible so maybe the real bad eggs might leave you alone ? Absolutely. He had reason to fear for his life.

As for the second part of your question, Am I ready to spend eternity with Dahmer? If he was dedicated enough to Jesus Christ that he found his way through that strait and narrow gate and path, then yes. No doubt about it. But I think that perhaps that is like asking if Hitler will be in heaven.
It would surprise me to find that Dahmer's name is in the Lamb's Book of Life. Does that answer your question, sir? May the peace of God be with you.

My mom keeps asking me how this super JERK that we both know can possibly be a Christian. Granted, he hasn't killed anybody but he has beaten (swollen lips and all)one 12yr old girl and dragged another young 8yr old girl up a flight of stairs by her hair (her feet never touched the steps), yet he still confesses to be Christian.
Well, G-ds Word says that we have to confess with our mouth AND believe in our hearts that "Jesus is our Lord and Savior" We don't have a license to 'play' G-d. Doesnt matter if its Dahmer or this Jerk we know, G-d knows the heart. HE knows if that person is truly sincere about salvation. If Dahmer said that and thought he had just received a 'get outta hell' pass, he found out that he was wrong, really really wrong.
If we go to Jesus for any other reason than the fact that we want Him to be our Savior just because He loves us and soley because He really did die on a cross to buy us back from Satan, then the lame words of a supposed confession aren't gonna do any good.
In other words, ya cant play games with G-d. He knows your motives, your heart and your level of sincerity.
Also, please be aware of the fact that my answer is only a fraction of an answer. I've been a Christian for a few years now and seems that the longer I'm in this the more I wish I knew so that I could truly answer questions such as yours.
Seems that it's times like this that reminds me why He called us His sheep ( that wasnt a compliment, sheep are stupid).
By the way guess you can see that we ARE willing to answere a difficult question.

I would have to say that the fact that he murdered, boiled and ate his fellow humans that God will be quite discerning and will look closely into his heart to find his true beliefs. Lots of people when faced with execution often think they have found Christ and who knows if acceptance into heaven is really based on works or faith? That is always the argument in religions. If it requires good works to be accepted into heaven; most Americans would be left out. If it requires faith then the Dahmers of the world will be included. He hasn't met my requirements for heaven - the 10 commandments are clear about murder, adultery, loving father and mother, coveting, etc. Break these rules you are out. Of course, some will argue that Christ changed all this but let me propose to them that Christ lived a life that followed all the 10 commandments plus the fasting days etc. So, where does that leave them? When talking about religion you must realize that there are so many translations and so many changes and things left out (Gnostic Gospels) that it can all be taken any way a person wants to take it. Of course, the "BELIEF" that something is true does not make it "TRUTH". This is the paradox of the whole thing.

In my book, Dahmer and his ilk did not meet the requirements by just stating he accepted Jesus Christ; hopefully, I will never meet him anywhere in eternity.

Only God knows whether or not Jeffrey Dahmer has "met the qualifications" necessary for salvation. If he has, if God has forgiven him and he is truly saved, then YES - I am prepared to spend an eternity side-by-side with any fellow Christian, including Jeffrey Dahmer.

You'll get more bees with honey than with vinegar. Try to ask the question in a respectful manner if you wish to get respectful answers.

The Bible says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."(2 Cor. 5:17) If Jeffrey Dahmer truly accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, believed it in his heart and confessed it with his mouth(Romans 10:9 & 10) Then he is a new creation, so yes, i am ready to spend eternity in heaven with anyone who loves Christ, even Jeffrey Dahmer.

I suppose if I make it and he is there then I will be ready to spend eternity with him.

By the rules in order to go to heaven you can't just say sorry you have to BE sorry and accept God, Jesus....etc If he is then I suppose he will be forgiven and may very well be in heaven now.

Appearantly we are not supposed to question how God distributes his grace and we can't complain when someone who receives it is someone we feel doesn't deserve it.

There is a passage that goes into this....about workers in a field. Some hired at the beginning of the day then others throughout the day and some at the very end. They had all been promised a days wages and they all got it. The ones who had worked all day of course complained they worked all day (led good lives) while other joined at the end (repented and accepted only after great sins)...only to be told that they got what they agreed on so who were they to question the boss on how he would distribute his money. (grace) And yes, if you hadn't guessed, I paraphrased. That is supposed to make us understand and accept things like him getting into heaven.

Yes! If he has truly repented of his sin and accepted Christ then I look forward to sharing eternity with him in the presence of our mutual Lord and Savior! And if that be the case, then praise God that Mr. Dahmer is saved!

And incidentally, this isn't a difficult question at all. In fact, it's a given!

He won't be going to heaven, if God does resurrect Jeffrey Dahmer back to life through his Son, Christ Jesus, which will be on earth, why shouldn't I be willing to spend eternity with him if God saw he was worth resurrecting.

"CHRISTINS ARE YOU READY TO SPEND ETERNITY IN HEAVEN WITH JEFFREY DAHMER??????????"

Well, not if he was like he was when he did all of those horrible things that were reported in the news. But if he is a born again Christian then God's Holy Spirit will be turning him into someone who is a lot like Jesus and not a homicidal maniac and that's what makes all of the difference.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

I consider myself a Christian, however I do not have a heavenly hope. In many places in the Bible it says that the righteous, mild-tempered, meek, etc.... will inherit the earth. That is the basis for my belief. Only God knows our hearts, if Dahmer truly was remorseful and repented from his sin and asked for forgiveness, then his slate would have been wiped clean for that particular sin. But I don't buy into that garbage of once saved always saved, your behavior and actions have to literally demonstrate a change of heart. If Dahmer was only accepting Jesus just before he was executed in order to "prepare to meet his Maker", then that was just one more person who fell for the lies of false religion. But only God knew his heart then. The ones who literally believe they have a place in heaven waiting for them will probably tell you that all they know is that they will be "happy".
