I'm of Chinese heritage and I'm a Christian. It is erroneous to equate Buddhism with the Chinese ethnicity because

1. Buddhism wasn't kick-started off by us
2. Look around Chinatown and I'm pretty sure you can see many non-Buddhist Chinese.

No, not even in ancient times. Buddhism originated in India, and China always maintained followers of Taoism and Confucianism. The present communist regime is anti-religious, so the Buddhist population has shrunk....
