Yes, this is also an idea that informed what Dreams may Come, a major motion picture in 1994 starring Robbin Williams, and based on a book of the same theme. I was touched by the Lovely Bones when I read it on Spring Break as a high school Junior. What happens to the girl is so sad, but it is great that she can still connect with her family in some ways.
If I could have a heaven, it would be stocked with all of the richest books explaining what the universe is and every part of cognitive existence. I would also be close to my loved ones and pets, whom I love dearly. I would eat Southern and junk food, listen to dance music, run occasionally, and paint like there were no tomorrow.
Too bad an afterlife likely doesn't exist. But it's a beautiful thought, really.

Lovely Bones is by far the worst book ever.
Heaven has already been described to us in a little book God likes to call, the Bible

I guess I'd still like to go shopping, so that would be a must. A nice dance club where I could meet up with the ones I have lost, and just having the peacefulness of it all. Sounds heavenly!
By the way, I read that book...it's a great novel!

We have no say. The perfect heaven is God's say. Live with it or not. Your choice. For some HEAVEN can be hell.
I mean what if GOD were naked and pranced around with his yang hanging out all the time. HOW would YOU feel about that.
What if there was WORK in heaven.
What if you were given a broom and told to sweep eternity!
Is that HEAVEN or HELL!

In Heaven, I would want nothing more than to adore Our Eternal Father, alongside the Blessed Virgin Mary, & all the Saints, as well as being reunited with lost loved ones, such as my father.

Yes; I have:
Enjoying my wife daily - making 'pumpkins' freely FOREVER, with our perfect immortal bodies gifted to each of us as part of the Promised Resurrection for all ... IN OTHER WORDS, "ETERNAL LIFE"!
... all as just part of Living with my family in Heaven forever - with all my own Kingdom as a "joint-heir" with Christ, and a partaker in all that the Father hath ... and living with all those other wonderful Heavenly Hosts and heavenly brothers and sisters, all abiding in love and perfect bliss forever in the most perfect of gardens and settings possible.

Our ideas of heaven can't even compare to what it really is. It is finally accepting and realizing the power of God's awesome love for all mankind, and loving him back with all your heart. It is being in a world of pure love and benevolence given freely. No mind on earth can even fathom it.

I would think heaven would be a place where I didn't have to listen to a bunch of religious groups try and convince me that their way is the ONLY way one can get there.
