This is a reason the Catholics love The Blessed Virgin Mary so much. She is our Mother.

So much can be said about what Jesus Christ meant.
A few thoughts in this connection.

When lost in the material world away from the association of the Lord in the spiritual world, one has to be like the child who feels helpless and dependent upon the parents.

When lost, we have to cry out to the Lord sincerely just like the child sincerely cries out to the parents and the parents come and rescue the child.

When lost, we have to have faith in the Lord just like the innocent child has belief that the parents will come and save.

One has to follow the instructions of the Lord just like the child follows whatever the parents tell.

One should have no other shelter other than the Lord, just as the child is not pacified even if so many things are given to satisfy other than loving, caring protection of the parents.

Sorry Honey, but you took that out of context. Jesus was referring that unless you become as a little child in faith, accepting God's word. We are to believe God just as a little child innocently believes his parent. Faith is so simple.
The virgin Mary is not our mother, she is the earthly mother of Jesus. To put her up in rank with God, by praying to her is not right, because she is not a fourth person in the God-head of the Trinity. She was a vessel by which God created to bring Jesus into the world. Jesus said, No-one can come to the Father except by Me. There is also nowhere in the bible where it says to pray to Mary. Or that Mary stands at the right hand of the throne interceding for us. Only Jesus does.

I appreciate the fact that Mary gave birth to the Savior, and she did too. In Luke 1:46 Mary states her need for a Savior, so if she claimed a need for a Savior how can she be immaculate? If you read the bible you will see for your self that the catholic church contradicts a lot of what the bible says, no wonder why you are so confused, bless your heart.

She told people not to bow before her, because she was a person just like they were. Although she gave birth to Jesus, she still had to be saved and accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior, once He ascended. She was blessed among women, but salvation still had to work the same for her as everyone else.
To pray to her cheapens the teachings of Christ. He said I AM THE WAY..... He also said NO MAN SHALL COME UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.
Not by Mary. She was the birth Mother of Jesus, not our mother. She is a child of God, as any born-again believer is, so she would be our sister in Christ.
You catholics put way too much faith in her, as well as in the catholic church.
Put your faith in Christ. HE is the way. There is no other.

I love the Blessed Mother because she has shown herself to be my mother in so many ways over the years. I lost my mom to cancer many years ago, and I really missed that mom-daughter relationship. Mary has been the mother whom I've turned to when I can't talk to my own mom about something going on in my life and only a woman's listening heart will do.

And she is the most beautiful role model for Christian women ever born. When you think about her humility, love, loyalty, and compassion, it's just mind-boggling. If anyone should have had "bragging rights," it was her, but her first instinct was to praise God when someone else praised her.

She's definitely our mother and our friend.

I think that you are a little confused about what the verse actually means. Jesus is not saying that we need a mother or even a Sacred Mother. What He is saying here is that we must have the faith of a child.

I noticed this the other day when my son came to me and told me he loved me. That love that he has for me is not tainted by greed or desire -- it is pure, unadulterated love. Furthermore, I asked my daughter if she believed that Jesus was real. She responded that Jesus was real. I asked her how she knew. And she looked up to me and said, "Because I just know."

That is the reason that Jesus told us that we must become like little children. Because that kind of faith is one that does not have to be analyzed or contemplated. And that is the kind of faith that is pleasing to God.

There may be other reasons upon which you can base your belief, but using this Scripture will not prove your point.

Did u add that to the story? After Jesus said you must become like a child, says that every child needs a mother so, you should worship Mary? I don´t think so.

Are you saying that Jesus is not enough to get to the father, so we need Mary?

My bible doesn't´t say that.

My bible says that the only way to the father is Jesus.

Take care.

When Jesus said "You must become like a little child" He was talking about it in a spiritual manner and that you must humble yourself, remove all clutter and fully depend on God. Mary is not my mother. My mother name is Ruth. However, I respect Mary for the role she played in history, like Abraham, Joseph, David and all the rest. But I will not worship her for she was a servant and vessel used by God, just as you and I if we give God the opportunity to use us as she did. Love, be bless.

Hi Midge,
The BIBLE does not tell us to call her the "Blessed Virgin Mary" or that she is more important than any other person on earth. Christ is our personal savior and GOD's Only SON. HE deserves our full respect for becoming our sacrificial lamb. HIS Sacrifice allows us the opportunity to go to heaven. Have a great day.
Thanks,
Eds

In Matthew 18:3 "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be coverted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter the kingdom of heaven". John 3:3 " Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven ". 1 Peter 2:2 " As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that we may grow thereby ". God picked mary because she was a believer and he could trust her . She is a sinner just like you and I .
