We do not dislike the person
we just despise the act.

Not discrimination just obeying the Bible agree?

I was raised Catholic but over the past few years have really not practiced a religion. I don't care for the beliefs of the catholic church as an organized religion and don't know enough about others to commit to one.what I'm getting at here is I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter who has not been baptized yet. I want her to be.My whole family goes to a church and my Grandma said I could have her baptized there if I register for envelopes and send the church money every week for 2 or 3 months. I don't like this. My family has said that if something were to happen to my daughter(God Forbid)she would not go to God because I didn't have her baptized.Does anyone know if this is supposed to be true? Would God really punish a child 4 what the parent didnt do?? In any other religion either? My born again christian friend says they have their children "dedicated" to God. What is this? I have also heard that this isn't an acceptable baptism. I'm confused. I love and believe in God and Jesus

People keep saying Christianity is love, and respect,etc...

Yet, most Christians here have shown nothing but hatred against us muslims, disrespecting our dear and beloved prophet with lies and propaganda, with them knowing we can do the same back to them, because we love and respect jesus(PBUH).

Why are most Christians here so hateful and closed minded if they always say christianity is love.

[Shakir 67:1] Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things,
[Shakir 67:2] Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,
[Shakir 67:3] Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?
[Shakir 67:4] Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued.
[Shakir 67:5] And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning.
[Shakir 67:6] And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort.
[Shakir 67:7] When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves,
[Shakir 67:8] Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner?
[Shakir 67:9] They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error.
[Shakir 67:10] And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire.
[Shakir 67:11] So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire.
[Shakir 67:12] (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward.
[Shakir 67:13] And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.
[Shakir 67:14] Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware.
[Shakir 67:15] He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death.
[Shakir 67:16] Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.
[Shakir 67:17] Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning.
[Shakir 67:18] And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval.
[Shakir 67:19] Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)? What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.
[Shakir 67:20] Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception.
[Shakir 67:21] Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion.
[Shakir 67:22] What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a straight path?
[Shakir 67:23] Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.
[Shakir 67:24] Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered.
[Shakir 67:25] And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful?
[Shakir 67:26] Say: The knowledge (thereof is only with Allah and I am only a plain warner.
[Shakir 67:27] But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for.
[Shakir 67:28] Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me-- rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers from a painful punishment?
[Shakir 67:29] Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error.
[Shakir 67:30] Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?

People spend so much time devoting their time. ie. prayers and rituals for the dead after they have been dead for sooo many years and continue to worry about their afterlife when there's so much to be done now. Why is it that people care more about later than now. People, and animals are dying now and need our help...i'm not saying let's all get on our knees and cry for them, but isn't the right thing to do help those who are in need now?

I got alot of great answers but some of you seem to think I've never been to church and tried to follow what the church said. I asked god to help me understand and read the bible twice. For crying out loud my brother is a preacher, I just can't pretend to believe somthing I don't believe. I am a good person I am married with 3 kids and I don't do anything to cause people to spew bible qoutes to me other than be honest about my feelings on the bible. I feel there is a god or a creator of some sort but what I do not know. I don't think we can understand it. If you didn't read my other Q sorry because they sort of go together. I just want an honest answer, Where do intelligent people get this overpowering knowledge from, If one more person says the bible I'm going to give up.

I'm curious. Mind altering drugs & alchohol change a person's personality. When someone suffers brain damage their personality invarably changes. We experience everyday changes in our behaviour as a result of hormones being released in our brains. Medical science routinely maps the parts of the brain associated with thoughts and different actions. When it is so clear now that our minds are the end result of chemical reactions and electrical impulses which create our conciousness and perception of the world around us, what does the "soul" have going for it?
Our conciousness so clearly comes from what I've discribed above and without your conciousness, there's not really much left is there?

"Scientist Finds the Beginnings of Morality in Primate Behavior"

I'm not making any claim here that primates are exactly like us or anything like that, just read the article and see if it makes you wonder if belief in a god is REALLY necessary for morality.

I thought the mark of the beast was about the anti-christ and 666 being the mark of the anti-christ. But I think this question refers to it as something else.

What is this question mean when it says the mark of the beast? I have read the Bible, did I miss something?

Do you bother to read all of the Christian's responses? I try to but some of the answers are sooooo long and beat around the bush that I stop reading and think that there could be something better to be doing with my time.

Am I the only one with this problem?

CHRISTIANS, do you have the same problem reading some of the long responses left by atheists? If so can you elaborate?

Thanks.

If you are divorced and really not dating anyone, How do you resist the urge to have sex? Since this is something that your body will crave to the fullest.Do you or can you buy toys? satisfy yourself? and what do you do when those things become boring and unsatisfying? Get married only for sex? I really need a biblical answer to this or just some advice?
