Here is the ultimate question, ARE YOU A GOOD CHRISTIAN OR BAD CHRISTIAN? Let's see, on the one hand, you have your religious training and on the other hand you have your Financial Cannibalism training (the I got mine, go get your own; mentality); the problem arises whenever you try to increase your income, as it almost always requires that sacrifices or compromises be made on the other side (our religious values). A true dichotomy, with a perfect relationship, as one goes up the other goes down; you get to choose which one goes up, but only at the expense of the other! Would this be the sacrifices that the Christian's leader referred to? Let's see, what else did the Christian's leader say? Oh yes, Love your neighbor like yourself! If Christians actually practiced this one, they would have to ask themselves a few questions before they could do anything that affected another person. Like, would I do that to myself?

Hi guys I would say I have a pretty good relationship with Jesus.
Their have been many instances where I know it is good because I feel Jesus presence.
However on a few occasions here and there I feel as if He was like a million miles away.

But I guess I can rest assured He will never leave me.

So is Jesus presence just something that usually accompanies His relationship with us?

I thought to be a Christian you are to sacrifice the ways of this world but instead you justify it by saying you are not perfect. No, you are supposed to say i accept that and im willing to change, where in the Bible does it say you deny your sin and blame it on being human. You are supposed to repent what you realize you have done wrong. Do not act blameless but instead try to live without blame. The thing that makes me deny most christians christianity is that they are saved yet do not want to let go of their old worldy ways and excuses. However, who am i to take the place of God and judge you and tell you that you are not trying. Im just asking Christians to stop acting like by being saved your sins have been forgiven and even if you sin, you are in a safe spot to give out excuses. Nobody is righteous but God even you christians, so you are like everyone, you are supposed to repent and sacrifice those ways by pushing yourself to act like a Christian.I'd like to hea your coments:)

Why don't people see from both sides of the equation, that you only live once.
Stop all the backbiting and torturing.
Whoever feels this is wrong, they must have forgotten God is the final judge.
Talking and hating is bigotry, which begets violence and death.
Why be against someone being happy when there are thousands of killers?
Weigh the differences.

If you are then why are you reading, answering, or asking questions in this category?
Maybe, you know, deep down in your heart (and soul) that there really is a God and you are secretly hoping someone proves it to you?

Well, sorry, the existence of God can't be proven, neither can the nonexistence.

Blind faith, hope and belief help us ( Christians) live our lives in a way that would make "Our Father" proud.

If I don't try to prove to you that HE exists, why do you come to this site to try to prove to me that HE doesn't?

Have any of you ever picked a best answer that did not agree with your agenda but was thoughtful and insightful?

I am curious because it seems like most from the varying viewpoints on here really are just militants looking for people who will affirm and justify their beliefs or lack therof rather then seeking honest answers and common ground.

In revelations it states that the anti christ will come accross at first as ''tha answer to all our problems'' th ''saviour'' and ''the amazing man''. He will be the anti christ and will implement the mark of the beast.Right then isnt this interesting,Nelson Mandela,from SOUTH AFRICA comes accross as this saviour to most non whites and a few other groups... He then has people wear his jail number accross their shirts on Mandela daY,to which many people still wear today. The number is 46664. Am I not mistaken but isn't this the mark of the beast...666? I find this a little more than coincidence or ironic...dont you agree??

I dreamt that Ricky was driving me to church and this bad guy was following us and he had a gun. Well, Ricky stopped for gas and the bad guy stopped too.Then, I saw the gun he had and I got out of the car and ran and Ricky said the guy just put a safety on his gun and he couldn't shoot it off so I came back towards the car w/ Ricky and the bad guy shot the gun off in the air. I have noticed Christian men wearing mini-skirts. I first noticed it about 4 years ago at an Idaho bible college but now I see them going into coffee shops and around town after sunday church services. This seems strange to me for some reason. Does anyone know what this is all about?

I mean I have had that happen too many times. What do you say to them when they qoute scripture to you? I believe in god but I have doubts about the bible. I think it sort of contradicts itself in some ways. Instead of giving me real answers to my questions I get bible versus. That doesn't help cause it's like spewing forth garbage to me. You might as well qoute Dean Koontz for all the "truth" it brings. I also see alot of "your going to hell for that one" attitudes and I don't think they understand I don't want to hear it. I want to know how do you really know ?what underlying evidence or proof do you have to "know" this stuff. "I just know" isn't an answer either. People all feel there church is the right church. What brings on this exceptionally strong attitude? Is it because we are afraid that his is all there is or what?

I'm in grade 10 and so far, I don't believe in God...well I have in the past, but not for the last 2 years. I am an atheist because I strongly believe in individual thinking. People of other religions like to follow what's written in some sort of scripture, but I belive in making my own rules. I don't want to continuously pray and ask for things, which is what many ppl do and it's one of the reasons I don't believe. That's me for you...you may not like it, but why do some people not like those who don't believe in god and judge them as freaks?

Why would atheists go to hell. God is all knowing and powerful and made us that way if you believe that. If he isnt all knowing and powerful then he isnt god. If god cant change a human in believing in a god how the hell did he create the universe. and if we are minions of the devil then the devil created us

You know the 10 commandments: which i hope you do but if you dont lemme put it in the form of a question that i think you will understand better of what im talknig about:
DO you worship any other gods before HIM?
Do you make any idols.examples:TV,food,work, money, FUN, bf/lover(humans you would do anything for but if God asks you to do something, your relactant)
Do you misuse the name of God.examples:"omg""Gdamit"
Do you keep the sabbath Holy, or is it everyday you work and not preserve one day for God.
Do you honor you parents even if they are old and non-Godly
Do you murder "mmhmm that squirell you ran over..jk..seriously tho"
Do not commit adulty,lust,phonicating. who told you it was right just because socienty does it(especially divorce)?
Do not steal.
Do not lie. "everyone needs to repent in this area"
Do not covet "and this area too"
if God didn't consider even one of these serious(especially the keeping the sabbath holy) then why would he put it on his TOP10?

People tell me all the time that I have a guardian angel. I'm not even sure I believe in God let alone angels though. One friend told me that it is a close friend who passed away when we were in high school that looks over me now and protects me.

If these angels exist, why do they only pick out certain people? And why me? Someone who's more inclined to follow science (although I have not closed the door on God yet)?

So, I understand that most christians somehow say that with god there is both free will and god's plan which we all must follow.
Clearly, those two are completely incompatible, but I understand that many christians are ok with that. Some even say that god understands every possible step you might ever take, but he still must know which one I actually will take, else he wouldn't be omniscient.
Anyhow, is there anyone in your christian cosmology who looks after those who are destined to reject god because that is their part to plan in his divine plan?
Or, are they simply the unlucky unforgiven who where chosen for hell?

Science has proven that inbreeding results in kids that are mentally handicapped. So doesn't that mean that everyone on the planet is essentially related and we're all getting dumber? Sorry if you find this question offensive, but I can't think of any other way to word it. And only serious answers please it's a legitimate question, since so many people take the bible literally.
