In revelations it states that the anti christ will come accross at first as ''tha answer to all our problems'' th ''saviour'' and ''the amazing man''. He will be the anti christ and will implement the mark of the beast.Right then isnt this interesting,Nelson Mandela, from SOUTH AFRICA comes accross as this saviour to most non whites and a few other groups... He then has people wear his jail number accross their shirts on Mandela daY,to which many people still wear today. The number is 46664. Am I not mistaken but isn't this the mark of the beast...666? I find this a little more than coincidence or ironic...dont you agree??

Yes I do to some degree, and what you say also shows us that the "antichrist" is, already, here. But is the "antichrist" just one person? Maybe not!
The List of those charged with being the Antichrist is a long one. In the past, those labeled"antichrist" included Jews, the Catholic papacy, and Roman Emperors. For example, whenEmperor FrederickII (1194-1250) chose not to join a Crusade on behalf of the church, Pope GregoryIX named him the antichrist and excommunicated him. GregoryI's successor, InnocentIV, excommunicaded him again. In response, Frederick declared Innocent to be the antichrist.

The apostle John is the only Bible writer to use the word "antichrist." n two of the letters bearing his name, the word appears five times, in both the singular and the plural. The verses in which the word appears are listed are: (1John2:18 ; 1John2:22 ; 1John4:3 ; 2John7.) From these verses we can see that the antichrist is a liar and a deceiver, benmt on destroying a person's relationship with Christ and with God. Accordingly, the apostle urged his fellow Christians:"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the ispired expressions to see wether they originate with God, because many false prophetsd have gone forth into the world."(1John4:1).

Jesus too warned against deceivers, or false prophets, saying:"{They} come to you in sheep's clothing, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By theirfruits{or, works}you will recognise them.")Matthew7:15,16) Was Jesus also warning his followers against the figurative antichrist?Let's see how we can identify this vicious deceiver.

How would you protect yourself if you knew that a deadly epidemic was ragingin your area? You may build up your immune system and stay away from people who are contageous. We must do the same in a spiritual sense. The Scriptures tell us that the antichrist"is already in the world"(John4:3) If we want to escape "infection," we must identify the "carriers" and avoid them.Thankfully, the Bible sheds considerable light on the subject.
"Antichrist" means "against(or instead of) Christ."

So in its broadest sense, the term refers to all who oppose or lyingly claim to be the Christ or his representatives. Jesus himself said:"He that is not on my side is against me{or is the antichrist}, and he that does not gather with me scatters."(Matthew25:40,45).

Jesus warned his followers that the world in general would hate them. He said:"People will deliver you up to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. And many false prophets will arise and mislead many."(Matthew24:9,11).
Because Jesus disciples are persecuted "on account of [Jesus}name," the persecutors are clearly antichrist, against Christ. The "false prophets," some of whom were once Christians, are also in that category.
So the word"antichrist" applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role Messiah by presumptuously promising to achieve that which only Christ can do- -bring about true peace and security.

No I do not agree. The anti christ should come from Europe as prophesied in the Bible.
Nelson Mandela had none of the signs of the anti christ.
Besides the rapture of the saints has not happened yet so we will not be seeing the anti christ any time soon.

The Anti-Christ will come out of the Old Roman Empire, Old Europe. Mandela is African so no he isn't the one.

A whole lot of people believe Javier Solana leader of the EU is the Anti-Christ. He could very well be, but right now, who knows

I am a white South African, and I'm astounded by your ignorance.

Please tell me, when was the last time you heard of Nelson Mandela trying to gather a following? Isn't that what the Anti-Christ is supposed to be doing?

He retired from politics a long time ago, you half-wit.

No. No I don't.

Your silly superstition is pure, childish fantasy.

There is no such thing as the anti-christ or even the christ. Grow up and get a clue. What happens in this world is entirely up to us. It is not pre-ordained. It is not fated to happen. There are no prophecies to be fulfilled.

It's depressing that as advanced and enlightened as we are that there are some who still subscribe to this dark ages mentality. We're about to send people to Mars for crying out loud! A place that when the prophecies were written, was thought to be some red hole in the fabric of the night sky. Do you still believe that explanation? No. Why do you believe in stupid fairytales about the end of the world that were written in the same period?

I find it ironic that anyone could think Mandela is "the Beast."

Reread Revelation. The "Mark of the Beast" is supposed to be required for people to buy or sell anything. The mythology has nothing to do with t-shirts being worn one day a year.

Wow. I am dumbfounded at this, because revelations states that he will be someone admired, respected ect ect,,, and the last person we would suspect, and yes Mandella is the last person I would suspect. I don't believe it is him, but the irony is astounding.

I did watch a show on this a while back.
We don't know who the Anti-Christ is.
But in the end his evil will prove him as the one.
Christians will be gone.<><

Not in the least. Revelation has nothing in the way of predictive power about the real world; it is just imagery.
