Mark of the Beast?

Question

I thought the mark of the beast was about the anti-christ and 666 being the mark of the anti-christ. But I think this question refers to it as something else.

What is this question mean when it says the mark of the beast? I have read the Bible, did I miss something?

The beast will want to put his mark on everyone, you won't be able to buy or sell or nothing without this mark.
Part of the system is already in place, the scanner they use in grocery stores and most every where else will be able to scan the mark they want to put on everyone, they will either want to tattoo everyone or implant some kind of chip just under the skin, they just haven't went so far as to implement it just yet.

Well first of all, the mark of the beast is in Revelation 13:16-17 and Revelation 14:11 :
Rev 13:16 All people were forced to put a mark on their right hand or forehead. Whether they were powerful or weak, rich or poor, free people or slaves,
Rev 13:17 they all had to have this mark, or else they could not buy or sell anything. This mark stood for the name of the beast and for the number of its name.
Rev 14:11 If you worship the beast and the idol and accept the mark of its name, you will be tortured day and night. The smoke from your torture will go up forever and ever, and you will never be able to rest.

In the question you were referring to was an extremist type situation where if you were forced to do one thing then what would you do kind of scenario.
The mother is smart because our lives on Earth are limited and a blink of the eye as far as God is concerned. But Heaven is eternal. Hell is eternal.

We cannot possibly conceive something infinite or eternal.
Even in mathematics I try to understand the number/symbol for infinity and how different approaches to understand it are like a detour of thinking about a complicated subject. I was taught infinity is like taking half steps toward the wall each step one half the size of the previous step-----well you will never reach the wall.

But anyways...if the end of the world is my generation well then I hope Jesus scopes me up in the Rapture before the Mark happens! otherwise i'll have to be beheaded...

The question is referring to the expanded definition of the mark of the beast. Some believe that when the antichrist takes over all business and commerce will have to be done by people who use the mark of the beast as a way to identify each other, and you can only get the mark by accepting the antichrist as your savior.

there are multiple beasts in Revelation. One of these beast will give you a "mark". without this mark will not be able to buy, sell, trade, etc.

well define "mark" using Strong's and a Greek Dictionary.
you get "charagma" which is a root of "card".

so realize "mark" = "card"

Most think the RFID chip is the mark of the beast, but no where does the chip state you can't buy, sell, trade, etc.

BUT...read up on the National ID and it does say that stuff. Says you can't buy, sell, have a bank account, a drivers license, license plates, a job, nothing.

National ID was suppose to come out May of 2008. But enough of us figured it out and screamed foul they moved it to Dec of 2009. Hoping the "hype" will go away and to give them more time to brain wash people into thinking the chip is the "mark".

Cause think about it.....you think its the chip....so you take the card without thinking. Now you are marked. What a great deception...make you look one place while they get you in another.

The Antichrist will be the one that issues this mark (card).

I do not think the BIble actually states a specific number but it does refer to the end-times prophecies. During the end-times before Christ returns to rule, the anti-Christ will come and require all to get a mark to show their loyalty to him. Those that have accepted Christ but for whatever reason either were not a part of the rapture (common belief in many Christian circles) or came to believe afterwards, will be prevented by God from getting it. This, of course, will cause them to be hated, tortured and martyred.

Please remember, though, God will take care of His people. Read about the Apostles in the Bible. Only one (if I am not mistaken) was not martyred, but ALL of them are going to spend eternity in the God's presence in Heaven and Heaven is much, MUCH better than this planet will ever be.

Revelation. God warns that those who take the mark of the beast (666) in forhead or back of hand and/or bow to the beast, will suffer Gods wrath & hell fire.

The beast is a venomous animal. And is the world religion also at the time. The "abomination of desolation" will rule after the Holy Spirit filled Saints are raptured.

In bible numerology, 6 is the number for man - Man was created on the sixth day.

Goliath the hero of the Philistines(the flesh) - look at the sixes:

2Sa 21:20 There was again war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, who had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

A MAN of great stature - the number 666 is the number of a MAN - This is the anti Christ spirit - its all about MAN of great stature apart from God. It is a humanistic, man centric, man exalting, God denying system. And it is in stark contrast to those people of God that have his name written on their forehead -

Rev 7:3 saying, "Don't harm the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!"

So what is on your forehead... in your mind and heart? The exaltation of God.. or MAN? Even religious good works that are done in human strenth, -rather than by the grace of Christ -are man exalting - does not require the grace of God, but relys on the works and strength of the flesh. Wheras good works that originate in God's grace, depend on Christ to the glory of God alone. These are God exalting.

If we are man exalters, then we already have 666 inside our forehead - and the mark of the beast is the next logical step.

The mancentric system is already well evolved - humanistic socialism, globalism, Christless religion.. 666. Jesus once said to Peter: "Get behind me Satan for you relish the things of man.." Satan's antiChrist, Beast plan is relishing and exalting man apart from God- where a demonized man is set up to be worshipped.

So, to delight ourselves in God, to seek him that made the seven stars and orion; to fear God and glorify him, to trust in Christ alone will make sure our foreheads and hands don't get any sixes!

The beast is a world government. The mark is to identify ourselves in this world system. The Bible warns us not to take the mark, if we do, we will sentence ourselves to eternal separation from God. The exact translation, identifies this mark to be on or under our skin. It also says that we won't be able to buy or sell without it.

I have pondered this question deeply. I feel that this mark is a chip. I also believe that this chip will influence our thinking and behavior. I also believe that when we take this chip, that we will have to pledge ourselves unto this one world system and or deny the deity of Jesus. I believe that this day will be coming sooner than we would like.

My advice for everyone is to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior of your life before it is too late.
