I enjoyed all the answers. The link is quite interesting. I never heard the Victoria story before,(but west coast, oh well, anything can happen on Vancouver Island)
I really can not pick a best answer, it goes to voting.

Never, but there is a video I saw from the library called The Naked Truth - Exposing the Deceptions About the Origins of Modern Religions by Bill Jenkins and Derek Partridge. It is about the origins and comparisons of major religions. They said something about Krishna dying on a cross as well as many other similarities. I think they were referring from a book called The World's Sixteen Crucified Saviours by Kersey Graves.

If this is a serious question: Images of martyrdom exist in all religions.
Since you used Hinduism, research Guru Govind Singh, Prithviraj, and read the Mahabharata one day - the first two are famous martyrs, and the third is one of the prime religious narratives, full of self-sacrifice on both the Pandava and Kaurava sides.

GRUCIFICATION OF CHRIST -
I do not know about Santa Crucified. I have also not seen. I have only seen pictures of Jesus on the Cross. I used to wonder how and why the GOD was seeing helplessly, his SON JESUS on the cross and dieing.
If KRISHNA was present on the scene he would have saved Jesus as well us his father GOD. Random effects for random thoughts.

Yep, we had our very own crucified Santa here in Victoria BC Canada this past winter. It was even stolen and reported to poilce and tracked down later. It was an artist making a statement about Christmas becoming commercialized rather than celebrated as the brithday of a very cool guy. I know the Times Colonist Newspaper covered it extensively if you decide to look it up.
