Ditch him; he is a fool. No good can come of this.

Dear tangerine,

I think one of the basic ideas behind religion (any religion) is the importance of truth. Doesn't that tell you a lot about your fiance' (as the head of a religious organization) that he does not encourage you to follow and form your personal convictions.

It's not really my place to tell you what to do- but it's kind of sad to hear that you are compromising any personal beliefs and just adopting anothers beliefs for the sake of convenience and to let other people determine what you believe for you. You should at least take the time to find out what you are committing to believe because as the wife of a head of the LDS you should really know what your husband believes and keep in mind these are the beliefs that your children will be raised by. Just thought it might be healthy for you to discover that --- instead of adopting whatever he believes because its convenient...

Just sharing some concerned thoughts.

Kindly,

Nickster

To be converted you need to have contact with the missionaries. They will give you the decisions and it is up to you to decided if you want to be baptized in to the church. A wonderful website for you and others out there to look is http://www.mormon.org/welcome/0,6929,403-1,00.html
I am member of the church and love it to tell you the truth i have no idea where i would be right now if it was for the church. The people in my ward are very nice and very supportive of me and my family in some difficult trails they were there for us. Willing to help out in any way that they can.

It is a matter of learning the particular doctrine of that religion. However, a small piece of advice from an old lady...if you can't believe in his religion, try to keep believing in yours. It would mean a compromise but it is best.

Don't give up your 'religion'. If you truly want to change to his, he should be able to help you with this. Many people believe that LDS is a cult...ask your pastor and pray before making any decisions that you may regret later.

religion should never get in the way of love, love is sacred, even above religion. marry and be happy and let your differences fill the void that each of you posses. you dont need to convert, just accept him for who he is, and have him accept you for who you are, that is why you love each other to begin with, religion should take a back seat to your future together.

what religion are you?
LDS is not a denomination of Christianity.
they believe that God was once like us, and if you're good enough, you can become a god(well, not YOU, you could become a god's wife, eternally giving birth...sounds heavenly, doesn't it?)
the golden tablets never existed, the "new egyptian heiroglyphs" never existed, the book of mormon is straight from the pit of hell.

Step 1
Learn to spell... or at least use spell-check that's built right into YA.

I'm wondering why someone who writes like a 12 year old is getting married.

I have to agree with Bleux Mi. You don't sound very sincere when it comes to your own beliefs if you can just ditch them like that, so I guess one is as good as another.

If your religion is of such little importance as that, you should just become an Atheist. If he cares so little about your beliefs, well... good luck on that.

Other wise, why no just keeping on pretending to have beliefs?

Is LDS some new drug? Yeah do not give up one fairytale for another one. Here is your best move, give up both and give him up and see life clearly! Good luck love!
