It seems like God would rather me spend my life praising Him than researching a cure for AIDS. Why does this make sense to Christians? Why does God need us to love him, you'd think being the be all and end all would be enough gratifaction.

I ask this question because most atheists I encounter are atheists because there isn't any proof of the existence of God. The Qur'an, which was written well over a thousand years ago, goes into great detail about various scientific facts.

Some of these include the anatomy of a fetus, how stars are created and function of the brain.

SO I would like to knwo if any atheists have studied Islam and read the Qur'an?

how does wearing a head covering effect they way you study? or how does is effect you going to the library?
and the ironic part is that Turkish(a muslim country) women who wear the hijab come to the US(non-muslim country) to study because they have the right to wear what they want in colleges and public place here.im so thankful for the rights i have.

I am a convert to Islam. I took ballet classes since I was 5 years old and I stopped when I was 16. I still dance though, I love it and it keeps me physically fit and healthy. Is it haram to dance just in my own house, or in front of my husband? I am making plans for our new home we are building and I always dreamed of a home with a dance room, wall to wall mirrors and the barre. I have been Muslim for 2 years now, al humdu Allah.

Is it haram for me to continue my ballet in private?

You can't even get to say "I told you I was serious, son!"

If you cannot convince someone with your words is it not better just to tell them you no longer wish to argue and walk away.
