Even the kamikaze had to have a little Saki before they went out to do their thing. Martyrs are just nuts. lol
Seriously, they are the same thing. Kamikaze died to protect japan and their emperor who they thought was a living god. Both thought think they were dieing for their god.

I heard that a saint, is anyone that could live with a martyr. The implication is that all martyrs don't die immediately. Some just go on suffering publicly, day after day.

a martyr is anyone who dies for their cause. Some Christian saints who were killed for believing in Jesus were martyrs. Some Muslim terrorists were martyrs. Some Nazis who were killed were considered martyrs. It all depends on how you look at the situation.

I guess so. Some of the stories are made up, and even some of the Church martyrs never existed.

A martyr is one who sacrifices his or her life for their cause...be it religion or otherwise. Kamikazes, suicide bombers, and the like commit mass murder for their cause. They are therefore not martyrs who should be honored and remembered, but low-life criminals whose memories should be erased from all human history.

A Christian martyr is someone who loses his life at the hand of another because he will not forsake Christ. This is NOT aggression towards others, it is aggression towards the Christian.
