The other day two JW knocked on my door. They told me, "We know you were not expecting us, but we would just like to drop of this information. If you would like, you can look over it and get in contact with us."

This has not been my previous experience with religious people coming to my door, and I was impressed. If they are going to go door-to-door, I prefer this method.

Is this a new tactic for the JW?
Have any of you seen this happening before?

If you are JW, please encourage this tactic as it is much more considerate than being bombarded with....."Do you want to be one of the 140,000 select few that gets into heaven?"

I just finished a video on youtube where this person was repeatedly saying that Atheists hate Jesus and God because we are always arguing Christians. She actually stated that we do not arguing with Muslims, Satanists, etc but only Christians. She used this assumption as an attempt to prove that Jesus is real because Atheists supposedly hate him so much.

I am wondering how many of you assume that I hate your God and I hate your Jesus. Do you feel as though you know my own stance regarding Gods better than I do?

When did we stop being vegetarians by decree? I believe it's in Genesis 4.

Thank you, it's much appreciated! =)

I've heard from many people that there are contradictions in the Bible. I've read many passages and found things myself that seem contradictory but abstain from inference because I haven't read the whole thing. Can anyone cite specific examples in which there are inherent contradictions within the book itself (i.e., not between the Bible and science, etc.)?

Each JW turns in a 'time' report every month that details how many hours they spend evangelizing. Since I see so many of them trolling here and asking / answering, I just wonder if they're reporting that time.

He created us with the ability to sin, that cannot be denied. If He created us perfect, then we would not have sinned even after He gave us free will, because perfect beings do not have the ability to sin.
So then, our sin is His doing, therefore not our fault. Don't we deserve to be saved by the power of His omnipotence?

Or does He just not love us?

PS: Please be clear that the basis of my debate here is that if we sinned, that means we had the power to sin inside us all along and therefore we could never have been perfect, because a perfect being is free from the ability to sin.... I can't emphasise this enough.

I would like you know EXACTLY what turned you away from being a Christian and what you EXPECTED from Christianity in the first place? I know this is a lot to ask, but I really would like to know. If you only want to bash Christianity, don't bother to answer.

I have been called a retard, and well read.

I have been called intelligent, and ignorant.

I have been called Christian and an atheist.

I have been told to read the Bible, I have been told that I have good knowledge of the Bible.

I have been called a wide spectrum of things.

I don't believe in a lot of the things most of you believe in, I do think there is a certain amount of ignorance in thinking that you have all of the answers (something I would never claim).

The truth is despite some of the very spiteful things people amy have called me i have love for every person, no matter how they feel about me.

I have love for rapers, satanists, and even Christians. I'd even love someone who doesn't believe in my existance. I don't agree with everyone's actions all the time, but I truly believe in the goodness in all of us, and therefore, i'm not quick to judge.

I've met stupid atheists, intelligent Christians, and everywhere in between.

But why are we so quick....

This question is aimed at Christians, don't you think there must be something worthwhile in atheism or agnosticism? Otherwise, why would be bother, when it is a million times easier to just bow down to God?

Talk about making a mockery of the terms "benevolent" and "omnipotent."

The above "everlasting life" was, and still is, the scope of our only True God Jehovah Who arranged this should be get back if we, each of us do really want to learn about His Name and main rules and principles he asks from each of us!
You may find the answer at "John ch. 17: vs. 3" !
This can be done only by the sincere and humble persons, who decides theirselves should insist in reading and meditating to the deep meaning of each word coming from our Heavenly Father Jehovah, through the Holy Bible, and Who insists that we should find out and use, normally, in our personal prayers this Holy Name and ask from Him the Holy Spirit in the name of His son, Jesus Christ!
The model of prayer said by Jesus Christ and showed very clearly at the "Mattews ch. 6 : vs. 9 -13" is the only way our Heavenly Father God Jehovah hears, listen and accepts them through the the name of His son Jesus Christ!
Our future depends on daily obeying to all rules of our Only True God Jehovah, got in the Bible

I am reading through these questions and I find that people make a lot of statements about Christianity. Most of the statements are based on false premises. Most of the people who ask the questions ask them with prejudice and a lack of understanding of what Christianity means. I ask that you please have a complete personal understanding of what a Christian is, maybe have someone explain it to you so at least you will be accurately with your insensitive comments. Is that too much to ask?

Being Lord, JESUS already knew that Judas would betray him. Even we read in the Bible that David had prophesied about this as well (psalm 41:9). Then why did JESUS still took Judas as a disciple ???

John McCain to deliver keynote for creationist Discovery Institute
John McCain is freebasing again. Later this month, the Republican presidential hopeful will deliver a keynote address at an event co-sponsored by the The Discovery Institute, a creationist think tank.

Jerry Falwell will co-host a meet and greet for McCain at a national convention of religious broadcasters next week in Orlando. Falwell insists that his co-sponsorship of the event is not a show of support for McCain's presidential bid. In fact, Falwell's office says he may not even show up!

That's right, John McCain, feel the love emanating from the evangelical base.

Why did you convert to another religion? If you were a Christian/Jew then why did you convert to a Muslim? If you were a Muslim then why did you convert to a Christian or anything of that nature???

Oh and please dont just say that your previous religion was full of hate, violence, discrimination and etc and that your current religion is all about love, peace, and forgiveness like this one "Op3nMinded" person. Please provide details to why you had converted.

OH and if you were an Athiest then why did you start believing in God, or if you were a believer then why did you become an Athiest?

Only refer to god as the "one true God"

Therefore you cannot be wrong, unless there is no God, in which case you're safe anyway. Unless karma is real of course.
