Each JW turns in a 'time' report every month that details how many hours they spend evangelizing. Since I see so many of them trolling here and asking / answering, I just wonder if they're reporting that time.

Ya know, I was kinda finding Forged03's reply a refreshing respite from the normal diatribe I see from most JW's on this site. Even complimented him on another question; but, now he comes back with kick about the term "trolling." Well, what do you call ANY of us who - and I include myself - 'trolls' through a list of questions looking for the one(s) they are comfortable replying to?

Why get your hackles up over nothing? What happened to "heap fiery coals upon their head"?

In my experience, people tend to imitate the kind of god they worship. I cannot imagine a kind and loving god being defensive or quick to anger.

You said, "when I answer questions on being a Witness people seem to get upset..." How does that fit here? I am the one who asked the question, and now YOU are the one picking on a word.

Usually I find that those most defensive about a subject are so because it hits too close to home!

Hi. Answering on Y!A is something I do for a couple of reasons. One is because to post questions you must have points, to obtain points you need to answer questions, to get questions fast you need best answers, to get best answers you should answer about something you know, since I know my beliefs I feel this is a good subject for me to answer on. I also answer questions about Anime, Pets, Video Games, TV, etc. I originally came to Y!A because I at times have questions about various things, mostly related to videogames (which I in turn am a seller these trying HARD to get a hobby/business going). I have also found Y!A to be a good source of aid with my poor typing/spelling skills.

I do occasionally count an hour or two of my time (when answering about the Bible), if I see my answers were actually read and helpful. Even then I only count an hour or two. I view it as informal Witnessing. Being a Witness is not a 9-5 thing, it should be a 24, 7 thing. So just as I count the time when I informally Witness real world I do when I witness here.

I do appreciate the concern your comment shows. The net is not a place to make friends. Just as there are good and bad people in the real world there are Good and Bad people on line. The difference is it is much easier to hide ones truer nature on the net. Discernment is always needed.

PS While I don't mind it, the term Trolling might be a bit offensive, and seem a bit perjorative to some.

edit

On second thought I do kinda resent the term Trolling. Those of us on Y!A who choose to answer questions about our beliefs are not trolling. We are doing what the point of Y!A is answering questions about subjects we have information on. I find it funny that when I answer questions on being a Witness people seem to get upset, but when others give misinformation, they are just giving their opinions. I also answer allot about on other subjects but no one seems to mind.

Sorry for any offense incurred. I was simply pointing out the term "trolling" brings up a negative connotation. I was trying to give feedback. It did not anger me. I simply saw it as being a poor choice of words. I know that I often say things with no ill will and have them come out wrong. But how can I or anyone else realise how our words come across unless we are willing to find how they are seen by others???

Most likely. Or they could just be doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Yes, they do. And here are two who will report the amount of time they're spending fighting blood transfusions for their babies:

"[My wife] and I deeply love our babies and want them to live. We continue to be heartbroken about the death of [two of them]," the husband wrote in an affidavit. "We will not, however, consent to blood transfusions. We firmly believe that our creator commands us in scriptures, such as Acts 15:28-29 to abstain from blood products."
