This life and this world is fantastic! Why belittle its significance in hopes of some highly unrealistic future utopia in the sky? And even if there is an afterlife, how do you know what it's like? Perhaps it's like the Sumerians believed, sitting for eternity in a hole in the ground eating clay and dirt.

And please don't answer that you have faith, because that's not a reason, it's a preference.

I think many have no knowledge that GOD is a singular term. I found many of them spell GODs. I hope this is wrong.

GOD --> Generator, Operator & Destructor.
So there must be only one Generator, one Operator & one Destructor. If there are many GODs then each of them do these three activities at different times. But this is not the case.

And many say that "GOD IS ONE" irrespective of any religion in this world. And say that GOD does not have Body. He is a "point of light". And all religions pray in the same manner like Christians show star as the indication of light and call him as Jehovah. Muslims too do not pray to any statue because GOD has no body and call him as Allah. And Hindus too name the GOD as Shiva and pray him as a oval shaped light(Linga).

So this proves that all pray in a similar manner. And GOD is only one & singular.

What Do u say about this?

If an Atheist society was organised and institutions built. And the followers of this line of thinking were encouraged to approach strangers or go from door to door and tell people that they were living a deluded life of fairy tales and irrational thinking.

Would you appreciate that they were just trying to help you as a fellow human being or that they have no business asking about your personal beliefs and that thay should keep there opinions to themselves?
Please no quotations from the bible.

Honestly ask yourself how you would feel if this were to happen.

Somewhere in my heart I have faith, but somewhere in my mind I have all doubts in existance of God. But I surely wish that there should be a God.
I have never had any spiritual experiences in my life to blindly beleive in God, so I doubt.

to take impressionable children and fill their heads with stories about magic, invisible guys who count all their rights and wrongs, people turning into salt, giants talking plants on fire, talking animals. People have the ability unfortunately to fill their kids' heads with whatever crap they want. Does that make it right? Why not teach them that every magic fairy tale is true? Can't you see what a ridiculous load of garbage it all is?

When you have lost abit of your spirit can you get it back?
I moved from France and was torn away from my friends at 15. I was developing agreat sense of integrity and happiness call it my personality. I moved to England to a souless school, my step dad changed too and this caused me great grief. Is it possible to get back what I had or is it lost forever? I feel fragmented and broken, my spiritual journey is now evading. It's all a big knot basically. I went to councelling but that didn't help.

taking kids to church? Shouldn't they be of an age where they at least have the capacity to crtically think about religion rather than taking it all in as truth?

Lets assume a young girl of 16 was brutally gang-raped & killed.

Now lets assume there was a witness , who did not take part in the rape or killing and was not a part of the gang.

However this witness saw everything , could have helped but did nothing to stop the rape ......... Is the witness guilty ?

What should be the punsihment for the witness ?

is it easy for people to say that everything is in god,s hands, does this allow people with faith to have a blanket answer for all the Crap going on at the moment by saying that this is god,s will?

the monotony of reilgion bashing has inspired me to ask your thoughts on the fact that all cults have stole their myths from paganism - most likely from the egyptians. Then new cult leaders manipulated the myths to promote their new cult, whatever religion they called it. The myths were all about stories to guide everyone to make moral decisions - not to use against others or use as a reason for war
