Think this is a good question, I am really tired of people knocking on my door trying to show me the way. what I find usually works is when I explain that I am an evolutionary biologist and then carry on by questioning everything they say to me.The problem is we should not bring ourselves to the level of the evangelists to be quite honest i don,t really want to convert people to athiesm it has to be a personal choice

We have to confess to this weakness, if someone comes knocking at the door wanting to speak about God they are made welcome and invited to take a seat for a cup of tea. Although we may not agree with knocking on doors or their points of view, really enjoy sharing experiences and our perspective. Can understand how you might feel as even if a close friend launched into a conversation on their favourite subject that we found no appeal with, one might want to find another place to be.
There is however something you may find of extraordinary interest. Today it is possible to experience a phenomenon known as self realisation and feel it on ones central nervous system ~ online. No belief is required, just an open mind and an approach like that of a scientist. If the hypothesis is correct and one feels the transformation take place, one must in all honesty admit there is substance to the proposition. No money is required, and as it is a living process no harm can result in trying it out. This cannot be forced upon anyone and in fact one must ask for the experience in your own free will.
The hypothesis: At the base of the spine in the sacrum bone there is a residual dormant energy (Kundalini) that when awakened, rises up through the spinal column and pierces the fontanel bone at the crown of the head and gives a flow of energy from the hands and the head. Once this has been experienced and verified it is then up to the individual how far they wish to go in developing the new awareness.
Having said all that we kind of feel this section on religion and spirituality is our home and you have come knocking on our door and we still enjoy the experience.

No such concern. An atheist believes in NO god/desses. that could comprise Allah,Ganesh, Kali, Isis, Thor, Gaia, Danu, etc...maximum English speaking consumers are at right here and are raised Christian, yet i might say my morals & ideals are from a mix of empathy & society. i'm professional-determination, and so are many Xians and that i'm additionally vegetarian. The Bible is quite contradictory. That entire 'no longer killing' concern? a lot of Xians do no longer seem to have a concern with production facility farms, the death penalty or going to conflict. And in case you examine the OT, you do no longer ought to flow far to examine some tale the place the 'chosen ones' are commanded to kill. There are over 30,000 Xian denom's available...there's a clarification why.

I would LOVE it... It would keep peeps from getting online in YAHOO and asking stupid questions that have NO reason for being in this category.
I don’t think certain people have the moral and human values enough to create an organization to help people. They do what they do out of complete greed.
Look at the non-religious based community.
When was the last time you seen the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, etc.. out giving food to the hungry?
I LOVE the people that go door to door spouting Bible. Some of them are cute as can be….
Plus when they say, “Do you know Jesus saves?” I retort… “But Gretsky grabbed the rebound, HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES!!!”
Or maybe when they say, “Have you found Jesus.” I say, “Yea, But if I told you were he was they would Cancel Easter.”
Go with God

What actually happens is worse. Christianity is being singled out for censorship time and time again. Kids are told they can't express their views in school, a cross is removed from a chapel because it isn't all-inclusive. Christianity is the one religion that is freely ridiculed in movies and TV. If anyone tried that with Islam or Judaism no one would stand for it. But because it's evil oppressive Christians it's all okay, right? We still live in a free country (at least for now) and we have just as much right as anyone else to express our faith.
What you don't seem to realize is that James Dobson or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell does not speak for all Christians. It's just that the media loves that they're inflammatory so they quote them all the time. I refuse to be judged by a stereotype.

That is exactly what does happen when evolution is taught in our schools as fact when actually it is a THEORY. Children are encouraged in this way to have atheistic views. Christians have to put up with this or counteract it.
Of course everyone is entitled to their own views. If an atheist was to say to me that I'm deluded or irrational (which they have) it wouldn't bother me in the slightest because everyone has free will to believe what they want to. I'd believe the same about him/her.
So what?
Of course there is only one truth...
Either there is a God or there isn't
Either Armageddons coming soon or it isn't
Either God will step in to remove the wicked or he won't
Either the Bible is true or it isn't
Either we go to heaven when we die or we don't
etc etc
No amount of disbelief or argument will change what is truth
BTW Jehovah's Witnesses never ask for money or donations from people. She must be getting them mixed up with another religion.
If you were asleep in bed and your house was on fire, would you want me to warn you about it?
Or would you want me to walk on by and ignore you?
:)

If you took your children to a petting zoo and a little
lamb came running towards you, you probably wouldn't be afraid at all
because lambs are harmless. You might even reach out your hand and
let the lamb lick it. But let's say you're at the zoo and the alarm
goes out that a lion has escaped from its cage. If you're standing
there and that lion comes running towards you, you'll be terrified
and start to run because you know what lions can do. But just suppose
that the runaway lion corners you in one part of the zoo and comes up
to you - but instead of attacking you it gently licks your hand the
way the lamb did. If that happened whose gentleness would you
appreciate more, the lamb's or the lion's? You'd appreciate the
lion's gentleness more because you know that he could just as easily
have destroyed you without violating his nature as a lion.
Well, grace is God's kindness and gentleness to us when He could have
backed us into a corner as guilty sinners and destroyed us without
violating His Holy character. But God wanted to make us His children,
so instead of expressing His wrath against us, He poured it out upon
His own sinless Son on the cross. Jesus took our punishment so God
could embrace us. Hence, we have a brand-new relationship with God
through grace. Isn't that amazing!

Atheists have as much right to organize and evangelize as any Christian. If I don't like what you have to say, I don't have to listen. And, crazy as it sounds, I might just learn something from you. I wish I could help your case by saying, "I would hate that," but I honesty don't care what you do with your freedom of religion, speech and association.

I dont think that anyone of a certain religion should go around knocking on doors. I've always thought of it being rude when Jehovah's do and then they ask for money. If its such a great religion then why do they need donations from people that dont even belong to their church?? They should keep their religion to theirselves and to their church, and athiests should keep their beliefs to theirself also.
